Every teenage girl dreams of a perfect lovestory. A story that resembles a sweet fairytale. A handsome Prince Charming, riding a sturdy white horse...
"Silver Starr, read page 23 and share your insights about that poem"
Hi. I'm Silver, 15, 3rd year highschool. I love fairytales. I mean, I am addicted to fairytales! I often spend my freetime watching fairytales and daydreaming about the prince I am going to marry...
"Silver? Are you listening?", Mrs. Fay sounds angry.
"Uh yes! I'm sorry Mrs. Fay.", I manage to fake a smile, but really, I hate reading classical poems. I find them so hard to understand.
After reading the boring poem, my mind can't seem to process the right insights.
"Silver, isn't it time to share your insights about the poem you read? Or perhaps you're more ready to share your insights about that fairytale card you are busy staring at since the start of the class." Now, Mrs. Fay is angry for real.
"I think I need a couple of minutes to make my brain digest this poem --- "
"Good morning!"
Wow! I wasn't even finish making my excuse, then someone unknown surprisngly appeared on the door. I guess, I'm saved! But I believe that my recitation grade is doomed.
"Uhm, Hi. My name is Arthur Martinez. I am a transfer student from Spain. I'm so sorry for being late." His english was in a soft Spanish accent.
"I would never forgive you if you were not a transfer student. Good morning, I'm Mrs. Fay, your english teacher and I hate late students." Mrs. Fay in a sarcastic tone.
I could hear others laughing. And yea, I laughed too. Mrs. Fay looked and sounded funny when she introduced herself. Like some rich señorita. Seems like she copied Arthur's accent.
Arthur looked humiliated. I felt sorry for him. He sat beside Drew silently.
The bell rang. Time for my favorite subject- BIOLOGY!
"Your not saved Silver. You have to share your insight next meeting." Mrs. Fay killed my excitement for Biology.
I glanced at Arthur. He's cute. Not bad after all! *smirk
