BOOM! The speed bumb on the road made the bus bounce up and down, waking me up from my deep sleep. I slowly opened me eyes and looked out the window to see a sign I hadn't seen in two years. The lovely oak sign read: Welcome To Delta!
I was so excited to finally get to come back to Delta! I had missed it and the people in it for such a long time! This time, my parents had decided I was old enough to come alone, especially since I would have my grandma and grandpa to look after me.
I don't know what I loved most about this town, the smell of pine trees, the sweet people, or just the apple crumble at my grandparent's diner.
The bus came to a stop, and I grabbed my backpack and book that was laying beside me, and quickly stood up and made my way to the steps. I stepped off the bus, and took in a huge breath of fresh air. I had missed Delta so much, and hadn't even realized how much I had.
The smell of nearby pine trees and apple crumble filled the air as I read a sign that said: Ma and Pa's Diner! 1 block down!
I knew that was where my grandma and grandpa would be, so I quickly picked up my step, and made my way to Ma and Pa's Diner.
