Chapter 6: Cupid's Arrows

(Monday)
Laysha's POV:
I'm at school,no one knows about me & Nate being together only Mercedez oh a few of the girls in the dance class,what? We grew close..
Mercedez's POV: well if my best friend found someone maybe I should tell Matt..you see I really like Matt but also I like Andrew but Andrew's my friend so I choose Matt I go into the girls bathroom & I start practicing what to say to Matt I repeat over & over the words..
(Meanwhile in the hallway)
Matt's POV:
I'm walking down the hallway when I hear a voice from the bathroom saying..
"Matt..I really like you & I was wondering..." She pauses "ugh I sound so weird" she says & I peep through to see Mercedez the girl who plays with Laysha in the female basketball team,I learned all of the basketball team members,including the females,I accidentally stepped on a empty pack of jolly ranchers causing her to pause & I run away..
Mercedez's POV:
(After a while)
School's over in a hour & Laysha & I were gonna go back to her house to chill,but I still had one more thing to do..
I walked over to Matt, "matt.." I whisper & he tells the guys something & they all leave not without glaring at me of course,"what's up pretty mama" he says smiling,ugh he's so cute,"well..you see I..." I stutter my worse fear happening in front of him,he leans in,"you like me?" "How did-" "I heard you in the bathroom. Truth is I like you too." "You do?" "I do." He says "well idk what to say.." I say blushing he bends down "will you be my girlfriend?" Now everyone knows because they gasped & by everyone I mean everyone including The "A's"
I smile "yes of course" I say & he yells "she said yes" the school cheered but then the A's left the hallway,I was being twirled around by Matt & I heard the bell,"time for the last class." "Let me take you there babe," he says reaching his hand out for me & I grab it...
Laysha's POV:
I was packing my bookbag when Nate came up from behind me & started kissing my cheek,"Nate we'll get caught.." I whisper since we're the only ones along with Mercedez,Andrew,Cole,Matt & The A's
"Don't worry..I got it covered." He says in my ear & I smile "Nate one thing is I'm a virgin" I blurt out & he steps back,I shocked him didn't I?,"Nate.." I say guilty,"no..it's okay it means your not like the other girls which is good." He says wrapping his arms around me,"the thing is I promised I would save myself until marriage." I say & he smiles "no matter what I'm sticking by you." He says & he pecks my lips & we hurry out of the school since it's about to close..
Andrew's POV:
I'm hurt,I was about to ask Mercedez out on a date when Matt swooped her off her feet & took her away from me,I really liked her for years now,I had flowers & I threw them in my bag & I stomped off with tears forming as the girl of my dreams wasn't mine...
