Chapter 8: Promposals

Laysha's POV:
(Thursday)
I help some of the students decorate the gym for Saturday,if you don't know what's going on Saturday well I'll explain,basically it's..PROM! The night where all the girls compete to win Prom Queen,just kidding no forreal it's true,I brought my dress already my mom's gonna do my hair for prom & Mercedez's hair also,although Nate hasn't asked me yet which is odd but i shake it off & finish blowing up the last of the balloons,Ashley walks in,"oh poor Laysha has to decorate the gym for Saturday she won't have time to buy a dress & fix your hair. Hey I wouldn't go if I were you,if no one asked you you shouldn't go Bc we all know it's important a girl comes with a date" she says smirking,"plus I'm gonna ask Matt to prom." "But Matt's with-" "oh have you been blowing balloons too long that you forgot they broke up honey" first of all I'm not dumb & second she did something didn't she,"what did you do?" I say mad
"Nothing" she says playing with her long blonde hair,
"You made them break up didn't you Ashley should've known you never changed at all have you?" I say & I walk away...
Mercedez's POV:
(After class)
I come out & I put some stuff in my bookbag & before I could close it I feel someone behind me,I turn around to see Andrew smiling,"hi drew." I say smiling back at him
"Your okay?" He says since it's been almost a week since me & Matt's breakup,
"I'm fine." I lie
"Mercedez your so beautiful & I know your vulnerable right now but I have to ask you something I was scared of asking you before.."
He bends down on one knee,
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
I tear up & nod
"Yes drew I will."
He smiles & he pulls me closer to him & pecks my lips,
"Well can you come with me for a sec?" He says dragging me I sigh & follow him
We're outside & as he stands me in the middle of everyone,who seems to be outside which is weird,all of a sudden the band plays music & confetti bursts out
I hear "p-r-o-m what does that spell prom!" The cheerleaders say & I see drew with roses "Mercedez will you make me luckiest man alive & go to prom with me?" I smile & I take the roses & I kiss him catching him off guard & he says "she said yes" & everyone cheered....
Laysha's POV:
(After school)
Of course my best friend got a date to prom & everyone's getting a date & my own BF has t asked me yet,I get to my house & I lift up the mat in front of my house & I grab the spare key & open it,I go upstairs & I see a note,"babe. I'm sorry for not seeing you today you see I was in classes then afterwards I ran out to do something but please,follow the rose petals." I raise a eyebrow & look down to see rose petals I tear up,he didn't forget,I follow the trail to my bedroom where I see my bed covered in white Christmas lights,
"Will you light up my night by going to prom with me?" Written on a sign above my bed
I smile & I look around to see Nate with a bouquet of flowers & he had chocolate with him
"Prom?" He says smiling & I tear up "yes Nate I will go to prom with you." I say
He lifts me up & twirls me around & sets me down & he leans in before our lips connect I feel fireworks,it's such a amazing kiss I don't want it to end...
Mercedez's POV:
(At home) I'm home with my roses beside my bed,I hear a knock on the door I'm in my sweats & tank top so I walk over & I open the door to reveal a smiling Andrew,"hi drew." "Hi..I wanted to check on you." He says "I'm fine." "I'm not without being with you." He says & I raise a eyebrow before he slams his lips on me & Im hesitant at first but the I relax & kiss him back....
Nate's POV:
I lay down next to Laysha as we watched a movie in her bed,no nothing happened,so get your mind out of the gutter,I watch as she laughs at the funny parts & I smile staring at her,
"What?" She says smirking at me
"Huh?" I say
"Do I got something in my teeth or?"
"No no. I was just looking at that beautiful smile of yours." I say putting a piece of her hair away from her face,"Nate I love you." She says "I love you too babygirl" I say & we kiss again,I'm madly in love with this girl I don't wanna ever lose her....
Andrew's POV:
Mercedez's the love of my life without her I'm nothing,I'm glad she's mine,she's mine & no one will harm her,she's the most beautiful & sweetest girl I've ever known besides Laysha of course,I lay down with my arms wrapped around the girl of my dreams & I smile knowing she's my princess & will always be...
