"Don't go, please." Calum pleaded, grabbing her arm with an unbreakable grip.
"Calum, if I had a choice you know I'd stay. This is a new oppurtunity for my mum and she wants to make the most of it. I'll be back in a year." I promised, his grip breaking as a tear trickled down his cheek.
"I'll miss you so much, a year is too long." He whispered, resting his cheek on top of my head as his arms snaked around my waist.
"I'll miss you more." I sighed, returning the everlasting embrace. In those few seconds a million memories flooded back to me from my childhood, when myself, Aleisha, Calum and Luke were the best of friends. The times when we'd get excited over going to eachothers house for dinner. When we'd go to the park and squeal when our parents pushed us too high.
Reminiscing over these memories filled me with sadness and joy at the same time.
"Don't cry Abs! Like you said, it's only a year." He whispered. Only a year.
"I'm sorry, I love you Calum. Don't forget that, please. Your one of the best friends I could have ever asked for." I told him, pecking his cheek softly. He smiled sadly in return.
"You can't forget me either, promise?" Luke asked, holding out his pinky.
"Promise." I giggled, linking his pinky as he pulled me into his chest.
"I'll miss you Arb." He smiled, using my childhood nickname.
"Just as much Lulu." I smirked, knowing how much he hated pet names; especially as ridiculous as that.
"Stop." He groaned, poking my nose.
"Sorry." I giggled.
I said my sad farewells to Ashton, Leish and Mike.
"We'll still be here in a year. Same old singing idiots." Michael smiled as I was engulfed in a cosy group hug.
"Abbey, come on. It takes half an hout to get to the airport you know." My mum shouted sarcastically, beeping the horn on the car.
"Coming!" I shouted back, rolling my eyes at her sarcasm.
Calum and Ashton took two bags each, placing them in the car boot.
"Thanks." I smiled forcefully, giving them all a final hug.
I opened the passenger door, slamming it shut and plugging in my headphones.
I waved at them all as we drove away.
