After school, Tobin and Alex had soccer practice with the school soccer team. Tobin tried to avoid Cheney and A-Rod, knowing that they would ask if she had told Alex about UNC. On the other hand, Alex was going around telling everyone how Berkeley recruited her.

"Oh my gosh! Al, I'm so happy for you! We're only going to be about an hour away from each other!" Kelley squealed knowing her best friend was going to be close by.

"As much as I am happy for you, I'm still sad that you are going to be more than five hours away from me," said Syd crossing her arms.

Alex laughed, "Thanks guys! And Syd and Kelley, Tobin and I will definitely visit you."

Tobin heard Alex say that and her face grew red. Cheney and A-Rod were the only ones who knew that she was going to UNC, along with Crystal, Kling, Ashlyn, Whitney, and Heather.

"I am guessing you didn't tell her yet, huh?" Cheney asked while raising an eyebrow signaling that she already knew the answer.

"If you don't tell her, I will," A-Rod said teasing Tobin.

"No, A-Rod. You are not my mom," A-Rod laughed while Tobin sighed, "Look, she came to me telling me that she got recruited by Berkeley and she was so happy. I didn't want to ruin the mood."

"Either way, Tobin, she is going to be hurt," replied A-Rod.

Tobin knew that no matter what happens, Alex would be heartbroken to find out the truth. Tobin instantly regretted making a promise to Alex that they would play at Berkeley together. She knew that Alex would be not only heartbroken, but also angry with her. She feared what would happen to their relationship once she told Alex and having no control over her emotions, she started to cry.

Kling, a future Tar Heel and teammate of Tobin, saw Tobin crying and ran right up to her.

"Um, Tobin? I don't know if you know this, but you're crying. Everything okay?" Kling said while trying to hide Tobin from the rest of her teammates. It didn't help that Tobin was four inches taller than Kling.

Tobin hardly cried around her teammates and she hated it if she started crying. The only people she has cried in front of were Cheney and A-Rod. She cried while watching a sad movie with Alex, but Tobin tries to defend herself by saying that there was dust in her eye.

Looking down, Tobin saw Kling's concerned face. "I just need to go home."

Kling helped hide Tobin from her teammates and told Coach Jill that Tobin was not feeling well. Coach Jill let Tobin leave knowing that her starting midfielder needs to get better.

On the other hand, Alex was looking for Tobin and grew worried when she had no sight of her.

"Where's Tobin?" Alex asked to all of her teammates.

"She wasn't feeling well so she went home. She told me to tell you she is sorry that she couldn't make it to dinner," Kling replied.

"Oh," was the only word that came out of Alex's mouth. Alex was sad that her girlfriend had left and was unable to make it to dinner, but she was more upset that she didn't tell Alex goodbye.

Since Tobin left right away, Alex thought she left some books in her locker. When she went into the locker room and unlocked her locker, there were no books, but a journal. On the journal it read, "Tobin's Journal." Alex wanted to open and read it, but she knew it was rude to read someone's personal journal. Alex stayed there for a few minutes contemplating if she should read Tobin's journal or not.

Cheney walked inside the locker room and saw Alex sitting and staring at a journal. "Is that Tobin's journal?" she asked.

Alex jumped when she heard Cheney's voice. "Oh goodness, Cheney, you scared me. But, um, yeah, it is her journal."

Cheney laughed, "Sorry, Alex," Cheney walked towards Alex who was staring at the journal, "Did you read it or are you just sitting and staring at it?"

"I don't want to invade her personal life. It's rude, isn't it?"

"Yeah it is rude, but you've been her girlfriend for two years now, I am sure you deserve to know more about her life," Cheney said while taking a seat next to Alex.

"What if there is stuff written in here that she doesn't want me to see? She's going to be so mad if she found out I read her journal."

"I'm going to admit that I have read her journal before. I last read it when she came back from North Carolina. She saw me reading it and she wasn't mad at all. I remember some things written in her journal, want to know?" Cheney asked while poking Alex.

Alex giggled, "She probably didn't mind you reading it because there was nothing bad about you or anything. But Cheney, I really want to know, but I also don't want to know."

Cheney sighed, "If it makes you feel any better, she wrote that she calls me Shanaynay because I can be a bitch at times," Lauren chuckled and so did Alex, "Look Alex, I want you to read her journal entry from when she went to North Carolina. Then, read the journal entry after that reads 'Alex.' And if Tobin finds out you read her journal and is angry, I'll tell her that I was the one to tell you to read it." With that being said, Cheney stood up and walked out of the locker room.

Alex was confused to why Cheney wanted her to read it. Also, she was confused to why she wanted her to read the other entries after. Alex didn't know what to do at this point. She was happy that Cheney would take the blame for her reading Tobin's journal, but she feared it would ruin their friendship.

"If she wants me to read this specific journal entry, then something must have happened. I guess I should read it since Cheney wants me to," Alex thought to herself.

Alex opened the journal and turned to the journal entry that was titled, North Carolina. She took a deep breath and started to read.

I wonder what Alex is going to find out after reading Tobin's Journal? Stay tuned to find out! Thanks for reading(:
