Chapter 21

Vanessa's POV

I walked downstairs and saw Tyler sitting at the kitchen counter eating a bowl of cereal with his head down looking deep in thought.

"Morning hey I'm going out with Jace k? Will you be fine by yourself?" I said making Tyler jump up in surprise.

He responded with a nod, "Yea I'll be ok you go and have fun." But he looked so sad when he said it so I decided to come back early to hang out with him.

"Ok well I'll come back later and we can have a movie marathon. Sound good?" I said and then I walked out of the house, after hearing his response 'yea' .

Jace's POV

I saw Vanessa walk out of her house. I honked my horn to get her attention, she turned my way and smiled then waved and walked over.

Once she got in my car, I drove off heading towards the mall to Vanessa's favorite cafe. While in the car we listened to music.

We were sitting opposite each other looking at our menus when I heard her ask me a question.

"Hey Jace can I ask you a question?" I put down my menu and said, "You just did, but sure." I said with a smirk.

She gave a half a smile then said "Why have you been so distant? I kind of miss you, are-are you seeing someone else?"

The smirk dropped off my face as soon as those words left her mouth.

"Hey Nessa I have to tell you some-" before I could finish my sentence it was cut off by a high pitched voice yelling "JACE!! I didn't know you were here!"

I turned around and guess who I saw! No doubt it was Sabrina she was dressed in very very short short pants and a top that barely covered her chest and exposed her cleavage. She was running in the direction Vanessa and I were sitting.

My head instantly snapped back to Vanessa to see her raising her eyebrows in curiosity.

Soon enough Sabrina was sadly and annoyingly standing next to me.

Before Sabrina could open her mouth Vanessa beated her to it saying "Who the hell are you and why is your hand on my man's shoulder?!?" Sabrina stood frozen shocked at what Nessa had just said to her.

Sabrina quickly recovered and said "Jace babe you haven't told her?" Vanessa hastily responded "What is she talking about Jace?! Are you cheating on me?!"

"No,no,no! I'm not I don't kn-" Sabrina took that opportunity to interrupt me and say "Well since he hasn't told you I'll tell you myself. Jace and I are back together."

"What do you mean back together?!? Jace?! Say something!!" Vanessa shouted outraged at what she was hearing.

I said "Vanessa I swear I don't know what she's talking about. It's not tr-" once again Sabrina cut me off making me groan in frustration.

"Oh honey, he's lying I can prove that he is with me. See look." She took out her phone and showed a picture of me and her at the diner 2 days ago but it was photoshopped! We didn't take a picture that day!

Vanessa's POV

As soon as she showed me the picture I didn't want to believe it I thought Jace changed, that he wasn't a player anymore. But as I looked at the picture I couldn't help but think that he never changed and played me. He's been so distant.

I abruptly stood up and grabbed my bag stuffing my belongings as quickly as possible. I could feel the moisture in my eyes, tears threatening to spill but I wouldn't let them fall in front of him.

I dashed out the cafe out on the street hailing a cab to go home cause Jace picked me up. By the time I got one, he was running out the cafe coming towards me trying to stop me. Before jumping into the waiting taxi and impatient driver I shouted to Jace "WE ARE OVER!!" I slammed the car door close and the driver immediately drove off.

As soon as the driver reached my house I tipped him and jumped out the car without a second thought.

I raced inside the house up to my room and dived into my bed crying my eyes out.

Tyler's POV

I was sitting on the couch watching tv when I heard the front door opening and then being closed. I looked up and saw Vanessa rush past me, I don't even think she noticed me. She looked as if she was about to break down but Vanessa never cries....

I swiftly got off the couch and rushed upstairs to her room. I was about to knock but I realized the door was already opened. I walked in and saw her bundled up in her bedsheets her head in a pillow.

I slowly walked over and asked "Hey Van what's wrong?" I saw her shoulders shaking and rubbed them trying to comfort her.

Her reply was muffled by the pillow her head was in "He cheated on me," she said.

She lifted her head and I saw her makeup smudged and her tear-stained face. It broke my heart to see her so sad. So I pulled her in for a hug and said "What? Why? Tell me what happened."

Vanessa just started crying in my arms, soaking my shirt with her tears. I just stayed there hugging her and trying to comfort her.

Jace's POV

I effed up so badly it's impossible to explain how badly I effed up.

I laid in bed thinking how on earth did things fall apart so quickly before my eyes.

After Sabrina said that we were together and Vanessa rushed out the cafe. I cussed Sabrina and told her to get out of my life and that we are and will never be together.

After that I went home and now I'm just laying in bed thinking what I could do to convince Vanessa I wasn't ever cheating on her.

But I couldn't help but feel hurt that she believed Sabrina so quickly, that I wasn't loyal to her.

Vanessa's POV

I cried in Tyler's chest for a long time before deciding to tell him what happened.

After I was done telling him his reaction was:

"What?! I'm gonna effing kill him!" He said with an angry expression. I had to reassure him I was fine and that he didn't need to do that.

Right before I closed my eyes I swore I heard Tyler say something like :

I love you Vanessa

I smiled and thought I love you too Tyler always have and always will.

That's a lot of words right ? I know so anyway here's a new chapter ! Hope y'all liked it ! Sorry if I broke your hearts but it will get better I promise. If there's any mistakes im sorry ! I just wanted to quickly post the chapter for u guys.
