Chapter 1: New pt 2

Bella's POV

It's only been a few months since I turned. The Voltori has left us be. Edward and I are officially married. I've gotten calls from some friends at school. I don't answer a single one. Some leave voicemails asking why I skipped the last week of school and why they haven't seen me and why I won't answer.

Edward and I lay in his bed with our eyes closed just listening to the woods. I've found myself doing that more often than not. While we lay there I stop listening to the woods and listen to a conversation Alice and Carlisle are having.

"I just don't think it's a good idea," Carlisle says.

"She hasn't been out of the house for weeks and we both know she gets antsy sometimes," Alice states.

"Let's talk about this later with Edward. He hasn't left her side since she turned and he's the only one who's seen her hunt," Carlisle says.

A small laugh escaped my lips. Edward looks at me funny.

"Alice and Carlisle are arguing about if I should go somewhere. Its just funny to me," I say.

"Maybe you should get out of the house and go somewhere besides the woods," He says.

"It would be nice but we still don't know how I am around humans. The animal blood isn't very good and I have to force myself to drink it," I admit.

"You said it was fine and it didn't bother you much. Why did you-" he's cut off by my phone buzzing. Quickly, I pull it from my pocket. Its not a number I recognize. Just out of curiosity I answer it.

"Hi, I'm sorry to bother you so late and I'm not sure if this is the right number but is this Isabella Cullen?" A women's voice asks.

"Yes. And this is?" I ask.

"This is Nicky Swan. I'm your biological mothers daughter. Which makes me your sister," She says.

"Wow," I say in a suprised voice. I've got much more to say but 'wow' just seems like a human thing to say.

"I was wondering if you would be willing to meet up with me sometime. I've got something I want to talk to you about it's just a lot to explain over the phone," She says.

"That would be fine," I say without thinking.

"Bella," Edward whispers into my ear.

"Thank you. Have a good night," She says and hangs up.

"Bella do you have any idea how hard it's going to be to control yourself?" Edward asks.

"It sounded like she needed to talk about something important," I reply

"Fine, but I'm coming with you," Edward says sternly. I nod. We head downstairs where the rest of the family is.

Alice pulls something from her pocket. Its in a white container. Its a contact container.

"If your meeting up with someone your going to want these," Alice says and hands them to me. Carefully, I open them and put them in.

"There annoying," I say. My eyes want to focus on the contact and not what's beyond the contact.

"I know it's annoying. You'll have to change them out probably at least one time when you meet with her. Just say your going to use the bathroom and change them then," Alice says. I nod.

"Now practice sitting," Esme says. I throw myself into a chair knocking over the lamp next to me. I curse under my breath.

"Careful Bella. Now slouch and blink at least three times a minute," Alice instructs. So I slouch and blink.

"Ok. Change contacts, blink, slouch," I say and stand up becoming annoying.

Edward hugs me from behind them takes me upstairs.

"Stupid contacts," I say while taking them out. Edward chuckles.

Edward sniffs the air then looks up at me. I sniff. My eyes widen. He knows what I'm smelling. Edward gets up but before he can grab me I take off.

There's the human. Laying in the dirt. Cut up leg. Eyes full of fear. I'm only a few feet from him. Ready to lunge. Ready to drink. Just before I get the chance to do so I feel a right grip on my waist.

"Let go!" I yell angrily. He doesn't. The smell is overwellming and I want it so I throw Edward off me and I hear him hit a tree. Just before I sink my teeth into the guys neck I'm jerk backward. My body slams into a rock and Emmett is pinning me against it.

Jasper and Edward join Emmett in pinning me down.

"Bella it's not worth all the guilt you'll feel later," Edward whispers into my ear.

So I stop breathing in the humans scent and I run back to the house. He's right. It's not worth the guilt.
