Chapter 7: Well this is news

Renesmee's POV

Last night one thing had led to another and the next thing I knew I was waking up next to Jake in his bed. He lay next to me smiling in his sleep. I grabbed my phone from the bedside table and realized I had several missed calls and texts. Quickly, I threw my clothes on and gave Jake a kiss on the cheek. I wrote a note saying that I had to get home.

When I reached the house I slowly pushed the door open. Everyone was at the door and staring at me.

"Sorry," I mumble and look at the ground.

"You had us worried!" Mom half yelled.

"I know."

"Just text us or something next time," Mom said.

"Why do you reek of dog?" Alice asked.

"Because," I mumble hoping she isn't about to have a vision.

"Renesmee." Dad says sternly. I grab Alice by the arm and drag her deep into the woods making sure no one follows us.

"I slept with him," I spit out. She gasps.

"Please dear child tell me you were smart," She says.

"Well, see I wasn't thinking and then I kind of forgot that getting pregnant is a possibility and now I'm kind of freaking out and I don't really know what to do and-" She cuts me off.

"Calm down. Deep breath. There-" She stops and stares off into space. A vision. When she comes back to reality she just stares at me. Her eyes trail down to my stomach.

A bunch of emotions run through me. Fear. Anger. Sadness. Happiness. Excitment. Fear again. Worry. My heart hammers in my chest. How could I be so careless? The chances of me getting pregant are not slim. If you think about it, it really does make sense. I'm human enough to get pregnant.

That's when I begin sobing. It takes a lot to make me cry because of the half vampire thing but I start crying. Alice pulls me into a hug.

"Edward is going to be P.O." Alice laughs. I laugh a little thinking about my dad's reaction. Just then my phone rings. I answer it.

"Nessi hey!" Jake says.

"Oh uh, hey Jake um, h-hows it going?" I stutter.

"Its good. Are you alright? You seem worried." He says.

"Um no actually. Can I call you later?" I ask.

"Yeah sure." he says and I hang up. I let out a sigh.

"Come on," Alice says and starts walking. I follow behind her. The walk back to the house isn't long enough. I stop at the door and just stand there. My stomach twists into a knot. Slowly, I open the door and walk in. Alice follows. Everyone is in the living room. Everyone turns to me.

"I have to tell you something," I say slowly and walk up to my mom. I put my hand up to her cheek and show her the conversation between Alice and I. When I pull my hand away she just stares at me. I put my hand up to my dad's cheek and show him the same thing. He doesn't say anything.

"I'm going to kill him," Dad says angrily.

"What's done is done no take backs. I'm not to thrilled about it either but I'm keeping myself together so your going to have to do the same." I spit out. Dad just stares down at me. Mom and dad just pull me into a hug. If I we're a normal 16 year old with normal parents then this would be a whole different situation. But I'm not. Thankfully.

"I still have to tell Jake," I mumble into my dad's shoulder.

"Well tell him to get his mutt butt over here then," Rose says in an angry tone. By now Alice has spilled it to everyone else. It's hard to take Rose seriously when she says 'mutt butt'. I laugh to myself then take out my phone and text Jake to get over here.

When he gets here he just walks in the door without knocking as usual.

"You wanted to talk?" he asks. I nod. I take him into the kitchen so we can have some privacy.

"There is no easy way to tell anyone this so I'm just going to say it," I begin.

"What is it Ness?" He asks.

"I'm pregnant," I blurt out.
