▽Chapter Six:
~•"Roo-ah~~ You hungry?" SoonHee sang walking to the kitchen with the puppy following behind her. It was dinner time and with Jonghyun at work, she took the responsibility. When she came home from the meeting earlier he seemed a little off. He seemed kind of irritated if anything. She'd thought he'd be happy to see her but it seemed otherwise. He didn't greet her as cheerfully as he usually did, and being that since she's been home for only a few days she thought he would be. As she scooped the dog food into Roo's tiny bowl her worrying thoughts continued. Maybe something happened in between the time I was gone. Maybe something with work? He did leave really early today. Jonghyun's radio show Blue Night didn't start until midnight and he left around four o clock. He said that he always left early so maybe she just wasn't aware after being away for so long. "Here you go~" she set Roo's bowl down and she dived in immediately. SoonHee rubbed her back with a gentle smile before sighing. "What's bugging your appa?" He questioned at Roo looked at her as she chewed before sticking her nose back into the bowl. SoonHee stood up and looked at the clock on the wall. It was 11:30 so Blue Night would be coming on soon. He always listened to his show while she was away. But after his behavior earlier she hesitated a little. She wanted to wait for him and greet him when he came home. Listening to the show seemed like the only that'd keep her awake after such a tiring day. She made herself comfortable in bed and put her ear buds in as Jonghyun's soft voice filled her ears. She grinned a little then closed her eyes and continued to listen.
~•"Annyong~" Jonghyun waved to the staff as he walked down the hall and exited the radio building. He checked the time on his phone before entering his Lamborghini and starting the car. It was going on 3 a.m. She might be waiting for me. I should have told her not to. With her just being back staying up like that can make her tired during the day. He sighed as the engine lightly shook the car and opened his contacts. He called SoonHee's number and waited for her to answer but she didn't. "Must have fallen asleep." He set his phone aside and pulled out of the driveway and headed home, anxious to get some sleep.
~•Roo's little feet went running toward the door as Jonghyun opened it. He smiled and set down his things, kneeling down the greet the happy puppy "Did you wait for me too?" He asked as she sneezed in response. He laughed to himself and looked around. The house was dark with only the bedroom light on. "Is umma sleeping?" He whispered standing up and walking toward the lit room. Poking his head through the doorway he saw her stretch across the bed. Her arms were folded, she used them as a pillow as she laid on her stomach with her ankles crossed. He couldn't stop the grin from forming as he looked at her "She had her ear buds in and still, couldn't hear her phone ring?" He chuckled noticing the wires in her ear. "She must have been listening after all..." he cooed walking to the closet to change. Roo hopped back up on the bed and started to lick SoonHee's exposed arms and cheeks. "Nnmm..." SoonHee jerked and rolled over to her back and Roo followed running her head under SoonHee's palm, clearly excited. SoonHee rubbed her eyes before finally petting Roo's head "Bwoh?..." she groaned slowly sitting up, the dim night lamp hurting her eyes "...What is it?" A blurry figure came into view and she squinted "You're awake?" She rubbed her eyes again with a yawn "Ah, Roo woke you up didn't she?" Jonghyun eyed the dog who sat next to her wagging her tail and licking her mouth. "....Jonghyun.." He looked at her as he turned off the closet light, no just wearing his pajama bottoms. "Hmm?" "Can we-" he stood in front of her as her tired eyes made their way from his crotch to his abs and chest then to his face. "A-Ah...you've already changed. You must be tired then." She turned her body away from him "What were you gonna ask?" He questioned sitting in the spot she once was. "Nothing." She shook her head as she looked at the bed covered trying to find a distraction. "Jagiya..." He took her wrist gently and tugged on it pulling her back towards him. She didn't seem to want to look him in the eyes, and he saw she was hesitant. "Don't make me beg, please, I'm too tired..." She looked up instantly with a blank face as if surprised at his words. "I see." He took her arm back and went to her side of the bed. He watched her suddenly nervous at her change in attitude "Yah? What is it?" She got under the covers "We've both had a long day. Let's just go to bed." She laid down bringing the sheets to her face and Jonghyun sighed clearly irritated. Roo looked in between the two with wide eyes before Jonghyun pet her on the head and climbed into his side. He turned off the lamp and stayed on his side of the bed, Roo finally putting her head down after he was settled.
