2nd May, 2016

Hey all! I had been out of town which explains the lack of activity on my part. And as Allah willed it, we lost the eldest member from my paternal side of the family during this time. May Allah forgive him his sins, accept his good deeds, save him from the torment of grave and hellfire and grant him the highest ranks Jannah. May Allah, Al Kareem, grant the same to all believing men and women.

Moving on, here's the next chapter alhamdulilah, which has been a tough one to write. The writing pace of it was quite slow but alhamdulilah, it's here. I've missed your votes and comments and I'm eagerly waiting for them. Don't forget to hit the star button in sha Allah :) Happy reading! :)

And be patient, for indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good.

[Qur'an 11:115 ]

"Mayank! Did you call those bakery people and find out if the cake is ready?" Asif asked, shoving the checklist in his back pocket as he walked ahead to analyze the other décor.

"All set!" Mayank replied, giving him a thumbs up while Asif nodded.

Of all the events Asif had planned so far, this had to be the most elaborate and lavish. It was the first time his company was organizing a beach wedding and he had to admit, it was mind boggling. As he stood at the entrance to take a look at the entire setting, for someone who was not easily impressed by things, he couldn't help the smile that graced his features.

They had arranged for a vintage car for the bride and groom, and considering this was an interreligious marriage, they were going for something neutral. The previous day they had a typical Indian styled ceremony where they were married the Gujrati style, and now, the altar was set and the priest was called to do the Christian rituals by the beach.

Apart from the vintage car, they had so many fun things that were being done for the first time for the exclusive beach wedding. They had a table full of shades considering the sun was still up and the hosts wanted to make sure the guests were kept as comfortable as possible.

The wooden sign beside this table read,

Don't be blinded by our love, wear shades.

Then they had a rack organized with flip flops for those guests who wanted to kick off their high heels and enjoy the sand. The bouquets of flower girls were made of sea shells, and the bride's bouquet which a team member had prepared, read,

Together from the beginning of the sea to the end of the horizon.

Apart from that, each table had a mini lighthouse designed with flowers, the decoration to the alter was of lanterns and although they had white wooden chairs with hand fans that the guests could use, an extra basket of mats were handy for the guests who wished to sit close to the waves by the sand.
