"Mom! People are starting to show up. Mom! where are you?" 11 year old Cameron called into the house.
Sam and Mia sprung apart like they were young teenage kids getting caught playing slap and tickle. After 16 years together and 15 years married, Sam still got her worked up in a hurry.
"In the laundry room Cam...where's your brothers?" Mia called back to him. Sam gave her tush an affectionate squeeze followed by a pat as they both walked into the kitchen, meeting a flushed faced Cameron.
"Carson and Zach are finishing their chores...Jeez mom, I started after they did and I'm already done." Cameron said on a sigh. He was their 3rd child and overly eager to beat his 16 and 15 year old brothers. "I think Morgan is still in her room getting ready, or so she says. She's probably still playing with her dolls she got for her birthday."
"OK, good. Tell the boys to come in and get showered up and changed for the party. Sam will you go follow up and make sure they don't dally? I'll check on Morgan to get her going too."
Morgan was 7 and as girly as girls got. That didn't mean that she couldn't fish and ride horses as well as her big brothers but she enjoyed dresses and dolls as well and could often lose track of time when doing so.
Sam groaned, "Wanna swap? You get the stinky boys and I get my sweet baby girl?" He gave her his best cajoling smile.
She swiped at him and gently shoved him to the back door. "Git!" Cameron was already half way to the barn when Sam turned around and brought his body up flush with hers and captured her mouth. His kisses never ceased to make her knees weak and her mouth water. Their love had only grown and continued to do so daily. Over 16 years, they had seen their share of ups and downs but had come out on top every time, smarter and stronger.
Sam pulled back with a nip to her bottom lip and said,
"I hope people hurry up and get here..." Her eyebrow arched.
"Oh? Why is that?" She murmured back as she leaned into his embrace, soaking up the hug he was giving her."Because the quicker they get here, the quicker they leave. And the quicker I can meet my hot wife in our bed and do dirty, naughty things to make her scream my name."
She giggled and pushed back a little bit as she gazed up at him.
"I don't think it quite works like that, however, I too, look forward to our own anniversary celebration later. Now, go round up our boys." She stood on tip toe to kiss him again quickly and push him in the proper direction.
She hesitated just a bit so she could watch him walk away. His jeans hugging his trim waist and lean, firm behind. She had gained a pound here and there with each of their 3 children but Sam assured her it was all in the 'right' places.
3 hours later and everyone was finishing their dinner up with dancing and mingling. They usually had an annual bash at some part of the year and always had a good crowd. This gathering was for their anniversary and it seemed every single person from town and around their area had shown up. Mia never missed living in the city, this was her home. She had her hot husband, 3 boys and her baby girl. Life was good.
Sam appeared out of nowhere just to the left of her and whispered in her ear,
"3...2...1...here we go...You're gonna love this..."
Just then Carson and Zach appeared, Carson held Morgan by an arm and one of the neighboring boys, similar in age to Morgan, was held by Zach.
'Mom, we have a problem. Little Cody here thought it was a wise idea to kiss Morgan! Right in front of God and everybody! On the mouth!" Carson said in his best outraged, big brother tone.
"I'll go call the sheriff..." Sam said. jokingly and pretended to head to the house. Mia stopped him with her hand and tried to hide her smirk.
"Cody, is this true?" She asked, calmly.
"Yes, ma'am. No disrepect, but it was only because my big brother said he kissed a girl and I can't have him showing me up now, can I?"
"Cody, your brother is 19 not 8. " Mia said before Sam interrupted her,
"Do I need to go talk to your mama, Cody?" The little boys face went white and he vigorously shook his head.
"No, sir! I won't do it again!" Cody assured Morgan's daddy.
"Well, you can kiss girls, just not until much later and make sure it's not my little girl, got it?"
Sam said, attempting to look stern with his muscular arms crossed over his chest.
"Good job boys, you can let him go now."
Zach let go of Cody at the same time Carson let Morgan go. Morgan responded by kicking her bigger brothers in the shin as hard as she could.
"Ouch! Morg, knock it off!" Cried Zach.
"Twerps!" She said before marching off with her head shaking. The boys headed in the opposite direction of their angry baby sister with just hint of a limp for each of them.
"Sam, tell me now, how did you know this was happening?" She asked sweetly when the kids abandoned them.
"Shoot, I saw it coming a mile away so I informed the boys of it and let nature take it's course. Every little girls should have protective brothers, ya know." He had a huge grin on his face and he pulled her to the dance floor for a slow song that was just starting up.
"Your a monster, Sam." She said affectionately.
"Yeah, but I'm your monster." He whispered down to her, their gazes locked.
"Happy Anniversary, Sam."
"Happy Anniversary, babe." And with that he fused their mouth's together and swayed to the music.
