Chapter 24

"You guys didn't have to all go to Konoha with me you know? Itachi and Sasuke would have been just fine." Naruto deadpanned, looking at the squad. Deidara sent her a grin. "We ARE your bodyguards UZUKAGE-sama." Deidara stressed on the two words. Naruto sighed and turned around, starting their journey to Konoha. "Where is your wedding going to be?" Sasuke asked, peering at the two.
"We plan to hold it in the district that we are currently living in and we plan on turning it into a clan district." Itachi replied, looking at Sasuke from under his hood. They were all wearing their hood up, including Sasuke. It would be weird seeing a Konoha ninja walking with Uzu nin wouldn't it? "I would love to live with you guys but Hinata is a clan heiress after all." Sasuke said quietly.
"Who said you couldn't?" Naruto asked, frowning at him.
"Well the council-"
"Screw the council! They can rot in hell for all I care. You can always go to the daimyo, tell her you do not want to continue the Uchiha clan in Konoha and she will figure something out like... Let's see, political marriage. If you want to move to Uzushiogakure, all you need to do is either make it a political marriage or Hinata has to become a civilian and migrate her ass to Uzu." Naruto suggested casually but Sasuke stared at her in shock.
"What? I was only giving a suggestion." Naruto defended.
"A genius one!" Sasuke exclaimed. "I'll talk to Hinata about it. Thank you so much." Sasuke said and glomped Naruto.
"Heyyy! Don't you dare take advantage of your height to mine!" Naruto said, pouting childishly as she weakly tried to struggle but they all could tell she was happy. Sasuke flashed her a smile and shifted to get her into a headlock. "I can take advantage of it all I want!"

When they neared the gate, Naruto stopped abruptly causing Deidara and Kisame to run into her and they all would have fallen if not for their last minute reflexes. Naruto apologised and she looked back at the village, involuntarily taking a few mini steps back. "Hey. It's going to be okay." Itachi reassured, rubbing her head with the hand that he snaked under the hood. Itachi looked into Naruto's wide fear filled eyes, she looked so vulnerable, nothing like the kage she should be and nothing like the confident and intelligent child that always found a solution in impossible situations. "Why did I organise it in Konoha? I swear to kami I must not have been thinking." Naruto said, wanting to hit her head against the tree multiple times for a good measure.
"Why? I f*ing hate myself sometimes. Why did I- oh right... I wanted to smack the councils in the face and in that spur stupid moment of anger I wanted to show them what they have lost. Oh my lord, I let my emotions take control. No no no. This is like code red! Conceal. Don't feel." (I had almost made Naruto break out into a Frozen song but I realised she wouldn't have known Frozen...)
Naruto ranted to herself, pacing back and forth, not caring that the rest are watching her every movements. "Don't feel. Don't. Stop! No. Don't get angry. Don't get angry. DO. NOT. GET. ANGRY." Naruto said to herself, it almost became a chant. She was stressing so much that she punctuated every single word in the chant in frustration. Itachi grabbed her by the hand and twirled her around, capturing her in a lip lock. Their hoods fell together like a curtain so it covered the scene of them making out. "Stop beating yourself up." Itachi berated lightly.
"Yeah! It's alright to be angry at them un!" Deidara chirped.
"It's alright to show those royal f*ers how much they f*ed up!" Hidan joined in.
"It will be so funny to see their horrified expressions when Sasuke finally hands over the scroll the daimyo wrote for you saying the council is disbanded by orders of the daimyo herself!" Kisame said, grinning, his samehada made a noise as if agreeing with them all.
"Then you can take back all your inheritance." Nagato said and Pein nodded in agreement.
"And you can shove it in their faces that Konoha just lost two powerful clans and they have also lost a powerful Uchiha clan member." Konan said, clapping her hands together in excitement.
"They are going to lose the whole Uchiha clan, don't you worry." Sasuke pipped in, smirking in delight at the thought of their despair.
"They also have lost a lot due to treaties being cancelled because you have been the only one that had politically held the bond but those old coots have wrecked their own future." Kazuku added.
"Ohhh! I can see Kakashi's horrified face when we show them the power of his old student that he had so conveniently put down! How dare they treat you like that!" Obito said, clenching his fist tightly as he remembered what he said to Kakashi during the war.
Those who break the rules are scums
Those who abandoned their friends are even worse than scums
