"I don't remember anything", Quentin Collins stated.

"But you must remember, Quentin. You broke the window. And I had to repair it today".  He stared at her; he watched her tremble.

"For a long time, I was alone in Collinsport. I waited for the right lady to marry. And all of the work that I did in restoring the good name at Collinwood, would be for the better. Alas, M'Lady, I know nothing; I know about Barnabas Collins in seventeen ninety-five; I know of Josette DuPre. And of the tragedies upon Widow's Hill. And now, as I talk to you, I won't remember all of the horrible feelings of dread that build up inside me".

"You mustn't decide what is real, and what isn't real, Quentin. I suppose, as it is worthy of my time here, that your life is tainted by the curse of Collinsport".

"How can I force myself onward. The cannery, and the fishing ports, is where I work. I don't know what I can do now".

"You're a good man, Quentin".

"Am I? I dare to dream about a sense of purpose in this old house, Angelique; I dare to dream of thinking that I would survive here in Collinwood. And, for thirty years, I was wedded to a lady as good as you".

"And now you're here with me".

"Yes, and I'm still cursed".

"It wasn't your fault that you were bitten".

"I was injured by a werewolf a year ago. I walked near Widow's Hill. The temperature was cold. I begun to think that something was amiss. I heard a loud growling. And, to my shock, a furred creature bit me; the creature howled, and it ripped at my throat. The blood spilled everywhere. Then, as I collapsed, the werewolf vanished into the dark shadowy town. And it wasn't seen again. That is why I always wore a blue necktie".

"I hope that nothing else does happen".

"No, I hope not, Quentin".

And she kissed him, as they sipped afternoon tea in the Drawing Room.
