SECTION TWO
"My name is Victoria Winters. I have come to Collinsport to gather information from my past; my present is one of death, danger, and terror. It is for that time that I was employed by Elizabeth Collins Stoddard to tutor David Collins, that the darkness that has arrived at Collinwood Manor, has reached out yet again...and seized everyone in its dark grip".

I stared at the vampire named Barnabas Collins.
He smiled at me, as if he knew my past.
"Victoria, how is it that you came to Collinsport?", Barnabas asked.
"I was given a job by Elizabeth Collins Stoddard by letter. It proved to be a blessing in disguise since I tutor David. His father is unknown", I answered.
"Unknown".
"Yes, I'm sure that Roger Collins was his father. But he is his uncle".
"That's strange. My ancestors are all over Bangor, Maine. And in Collinsport. Now, I'd like some red wine".
"I'll get some", Elizabeth Collins Stoddard shivered.***
Carolyn Stoddard gazed at the portrait of Barnabas Collins.
Four vampire lamps illuminated the Drawing Room.
"Uncle Roger, must we deal with what is wrong at Collinwood Manor?", she asked.
"Now, kitten, our family isn't cursed", he answered.
"There's so much dread, Uncle Roger. And we're not safe from the ghosts of the past". She sipped her fresh tea, as she focused on Barnabas Collins.
"Barnabas, would you be staying long at Collinswood?", I asked.
"Yes, I feel that since my disappearance, I have to have a lot to catch up to". He grabbed his cane in his right hand, and watched Victoria Winters closely, "You remind me of someone that I know".
"Me. I haven't met my father since I was in the Foundling Home as a seven year old girl".
"Josette du Pre".
"Josette".
"Yes, she was as elegant as you were".
"That's a tall story".
"Well, I hear she had the same mysterious presence as you have", Barnabas Collins smiled. He stared at the other framed family members.
And he finished his red wine, and smiled.
