Safe (a Toby Turner fanfic)

The Field

KATS POV

Toby carried me into the cave. It seemed like forever until we stopped. "Do you even lift?" I asked him. he laughed and just shook his head.

"This is the field." he said gesturing to a large rock. I gave him a weird look. he smirked then moved the rock. it was a small cavern in the cave. just big enough for Toby to fit through. we went to the end of the cavern. it opened up to a huge room. It had grass growing and little purple flowers sticking out everywhere. The cave ceiling had a huge hole in it, so the sunlight showed perfectly. The golden rays shot down like something you would see in a movie.

"Wow." I was speechless. Toby picked me up and walked over to a little stream that flowed around the room. There was little fish that swam in it. "Perfect. this place is just miraculous." I could find big enough words to describe this place.

"The stream gives the plants water. and the sunlight is just the right amount to grow these flowers." He picks one up and hands it to me. I blush a little.

"My prince charming has rescued me from the tower." I think out loud.

"And brought you to your rightful kingdom." He says rapping his arms around my waist. I lean back into his lap. I could sit here all day. Just watch the birds fly. And listen to the stream flow. The sunlight made me feel alive.

"Can this moment last forever?" I say closing my eyes. all the sounds of nature overtake me. and I sleep.

I wake up in a strange place. Toby was gone. and instead of being in the cave I was in a small white room. the walls were padded. and I was laying on a metal bed. like they use after someone has died. I freak out. I can't find a door. I start pounding on the doors. "TOBY! TOBY!" I scream. tears streaming down my face. then a section of the wall opens up. Toby walks out to me,"I can't believe you actually trusted me! I was planning to kill you this whole time! you were just my play toy. Now I'm over you. Goodbye."

Then I wake up.
