Chapter 6

~A/N - It's now the Monday before your first week of school this year~

Yin's POV

    I wake up to the sound of the alarm clock on my phone. I chose to use my phone because that crappy one from my old dumpster sucks.

   I walk over to Salex's room and knock. No answer. I call her name. Silence. I open the door. Nothing but boxes. No Salex. I walk through the house, calling her name. No reply. No note. No texts. I decide to call her.

Y=Yin / S=Salex / P=Phone Sounds

Beginning of Call

Y=Salex? You OK?

S=...

Y=Salex?

S=What?...

Y=Where are you, Salex?

S=In bed...

Y=Salex! We have school! Get downstairs!

S=No. Bye...

P=Beeeeeeeeeep.

End of Call

   I can't believe she hung up on me! I run upstairs to her room and see she's not there. That's odd. I can hear her snoring...

   I look down into the nearest opened box. Salex is curled up in there like she lives there. I look around at all the boxes before waking her up by nocking over her box. "Salex." I say matter-of-fact-ly "We won't go to school today. We will spend the rest of the week unpacking our boxes."

   "Uuuuggghhhhhh... Yin... Why...?" She looks at me with a look of hatred. I grab her hand and help her up. She moans while she stretches.

   We unpack our personal belongings first before the furniture Uncle Gareth got for us, not that we had much to bring...

   Honestly, the week when by quickly, especially considering the fact that Salex has been ignoring me since I knocked her out of her box.

~Le Time Skip To Sunday(It was Friday where I left you)~

   "Hey, Yin?" I hear Salex say from outside my room as I'm brushing my hair. "Can we talk?" She says.

   "Of course, Salex. Come in." She open's the door slowly.

   "Since we've been fighting recently-" I cut her off before she can finish.

   "We haven't been fighting Salex, we just weren't talking all week."

   "Oh... well, can we still do what I was gonna tell you?"

   "It depends... What is it?"

   "Can we pretend like we're roommates instead of sisters around people from school? I think it would be fun... and I already called Uncle Gareth. He said he's all in for pretending he's never seen us in his life."

   I stare at her a minute before saying "Ok."

   As soon as she leaves my room and I hear her door close from across the hall, I lay down and fall right to sleep.

   I wake up to the same alarm as last Monday. I jump out of bed and run downstairs into the kitchen. I grab two pot lids, and run back upstairs, into Salex's room. I star crashing the lids together and yelling for Salex to get ready for school.

   "Yin. I. Am. Going. To. Kill you!" She screams chasing me around the house before giving in to the fact that she's slower than me and getting ready for school. I had slept in my clothes to make the morning easier for me. All I have to do is get out the door, get some food at the market, and got to school.
