It's Love

Chapter 12

   Salex and I are laughing so hard, that I think we both forgot why we were laughing, making it even funnier. I couldn't see because of how hard I saw crying of laughter. I hope we don't pass out from a lack of oxygen.

   As soon as I caught my breath and stopped laughing most of the way, I looked up to see Sam looking at me with a worried, confused, and amused look. Then we all burst out laughing again, this time Sam and Taurtis joined in on the laughter.

   I don't know how long we were sitting there, laughing our heads off, but it was beginning to get dark outside. Salex went into the bathroom to change, and Taurtis went downstairs to make himself a snack, leaving Sam and I just sitting on the couch together. "So..." Sam said, scratching the back of his head, blushing slightly. He's so cute when he blushes  I think to myself. "How long have you... liked, um... stuff?" Sam asked, clearly trying to keep up a conversation.

   I went with it as a joke and said "Oh... well, you know... I've liked, um, stuff for, well... time." I couldn't help but give Sam a slight smirk. He laughed a little bit and smiled back at me.

   "Oh, well then. I've liked stuff for double said time." He gave me a slightly evil grin.

   "So you've liked stuff on double time? " He gave me a confused look. "No? Ok..." I don't think he got the joke. Not even I got the joke, and I'm the one who told  it.

   I was glad when Salex finally came out of the bathroom so that the now awkward silence between me and Sam could end. She was wearing her long jacket that she keeps in her backpack, which told me that her pajamas didn't fit. "Hey... uh, Yin? Could you help me in the bathroom? I need help with getting these PJs to fit me..." I nodded my head and walked into the bathroom with her.

   When she took off her jacket, she reached down and had to hold her shirt down to keep it from popping up. It was way  too small. She looked at me with a scared look. "I can't wear this in front of Taurtis!" She said in a whisper of a voice.

   I told her I would go ask Taurtis if he had something larger and went downstairs to find Taurtis asleep with his face on a half-made sandwich. "Hey, Taurtis?" I asked. He stirred and stood up, his face covered in mayonnaise. "Can Salex have a slightly larger shirt to sleep in? The one you gave her is way too small."

   Taurtis had a look on his face like he wanted to see her in a shirt too small for her "Sure. I gave her some of my older, smaller clothes. I hoped the pants wouldn't be too... wide."

   "So, a new shirt?"

   "Oh! Right. I'll go get something from my closet real quick." He walked upstairs and I followed him. He went into his room and came out with a shirt that looked like a plain white T-shirt and handed it to me. "For Salex" He said with a grin that looked like he wanted me to think he was innocent. Oh boy.

   I went into the room that Salex was in and handed her the shirt. I turned away and looked back when she said that it fits her much better. It looked her size to be honest. Then she spun around, explaining Taurtis's face earlier. I didn't tell Salex, but on the back in bold letters the shirt was labeled: Property of Taurtis.

   I told Salex that it looked great and she walked out of the room to tell Taurtis it fits. He replied "You can have it for all I care. It doesn't fit me anymore." I had to bite my tongue to keep from laughing. "I guess that means you belong to me now, huh Salex."

   "What do you mean?" She said giving Taurtis a stern.

   "Never mind."

   We all just stood there for a minute in silence. I don't like this type of moment, when it's all quiet, so I said "Where did Sam go? Wasn't he on the couch just a minute ago?"

   Taurtis and Salex exchanged concerned looks before we started searching the house, calling his name. I went back to the couch to see if he was hiding behind it or something. There was a note taped to the couch that was labeled:

Dear People,

          I went to the store to by some snacks. I'll be back by 11 o' clock. I left the pajamas for Yin on the coffee table. If they don't fit, then Taurtis knows where my clothes are so ask him if you need help finding them.

   I looked on the coffee table, and sure enough, there were a pair of pajamas with little rabbits and carrots all over them.

   "Hey guys!" I yelled through the house "He left a note! He just went to the store! He'll be back by 11! That's all!"

   I looked up at the clock, which read 10:43. Only 17 minutes left. I went into the bathroom and put the pajamas on. They were a little loose, but not by so much that it mattered.

  I chose to walk around the house. It was a nice house. Only one bedroom, which Taurtis and Sam shared. They had a bunk bed. There were two bathrooms, one on each floor. A kitchen. Two TVs, and two living rooms.

   I chose to go back downstairs after about three minutes of waiting for something interesting to happen. I heard a laughing sound about half way down the stairs. I slowly crept the rest of the way downstairs, and looked around. I couldn't find anything. I could tell the sound was coming from the downstairs bathroom. I slowly opened the door to see what was going on. I was shocked, but not surprised.

OMG! I reached over 1,000 words before the author's note!

On the other hand, comment down below what you think Yin found in the bathroom! I'm certainly mortified  at what I know to be in there!

"I know, right!"

Yin! Go back to your story! You're not aloud to break the fourth wall!

"Sorry Turtle. I can't believe that Sal-"

"Yin! Shut it! They can't know!"

"Whatever Salex. They'll find out in the next chapter anyways..."

"Please Turtle! Don't tell them in the next chapter!"

I don't know... It's not up to me, I mean, it is from Yin's perspective...

"Yin, please please  please! don't tell them!"

"I don't know... I really want to say!"

"I'll pretend like I don't know about the shirt!"

"I still don't know..."

I know! Yin, if you don't tell, then I'll make Salex wear the shirt into the mall on Saturday!

"Deal!"

"I'm not doing that! Fine, just tell them now Yin..."

"Yay! Ok, so I caught Salex and Taurtis-"
