Chapter 13

"Salex! How could you do this! And in the bathroom, too!" I screamed at Salex. I could not believe she would do this with Taurtis!

"Yin! It's not what it looks like! I swear!" Salex yelled back at me.

"Oh, really. Because it looks like you and Taurtis were hiding from me in the bathroom, watching YouTube without me!"

Salex seemed to relax a little. "Oh, well then, I guess it is what it looks like." She said giving me a teasing smile.

"And of all things, you were watching (Favorite YouTuber)! Without me!"

"Ok, ok. Yin we're sorry." Taurtis said, clearly trying not to laugh.

"No, we're not. He," Salex nodded her head towards Taurtis, "might be sorry, but I'm not." Salex gave me a challenging glare and walked back upstairs. Then she yelled down at me, "And the only reason we were in the bathroom was because it's the only place you weren't storming around in the house."

"Ne-neh-neh-ne." I mocked Salex and looked at Taurtis. He just shrugged and followed Salex upstairs. I went into the living room and sat down on the couch, waiting for Sam to get back home.

A few minutes later, I heard the front door open, and heard Sam call 'I'm home!' I ran over to hug Sam, but realized I was about to hug a blond boy with a fake tan and I backed away.

"Sam, who's this ?"

Sam hesitated for a moment before saying "Yin, this is Grian, Grian this is Yin."

"Why is he here? Where is he from?" I asked Sam.

"Ok," a British accent said, sounding annoyed "You talk about me like I'm not in front of you. Like Sam said a few moments ago, my name's Grian. I'm from the U.K., and I'm staying here for a while."

"You chose to come and stay here ? In Japan? Why don't I believe that?" I asked.

Grian got closer to me and whispered into my ear, "I don't want to be here. Sam forced me to come."

"Wha-! Grian! Stop, don't make stuff- don't go lying to my friends!" Sam said, clearly trying to sound innocent.

I heard Taurtis yelling to Sam from upstairs, "Sam! Why do I hear that British idiot? Am I just imagining it?"

All I could think to do was *facepalm* right there. "You'll have to forgive Taurtis," I said with my head still covered by my palm "He's-"

"Don't bother. I've known these two since they were like, five." He said, cutting me off.

We all went upstairs and laid out some sleeping bags, settling down for bed.

The next morning, we all got read for school early, at like 4:00 am. I was not happy until I learned that Grian makes really good pancakes and bacon. Once we finished gulping down our food, Salex went home to grab something and said she'd walk to school on her own, and the rest of us played some Gamecrab. About ten minutes before school started, we started walking.

I heard a scream, crash, explosion, and saw a bunch of dark smoke rising from to other side on the row of houses we were passing.

We ran over to where the smoke was coming from and looked to see who got hit by the car. I put my hands over my mouth as tears started streaming out of my eyes.

The person lying dead, was Salex.

I think that most of you guys saw this one coming. I really don't like killing off the nice people, but it had to happen. Sorry.

"Turtle! How could you kill me off!?!"

"Yeah, but still!"
