Magnus's POV:

Slumping down on my leather couch, I looked over to the clock and groaned. '12:00 p.m where the hell is that stupid shadowhunter.' I thought and crossed one of my legs over the other. Taking another sip of wine, I could hear footsteps outside my door and my hopes went up. 'Was he finally home?' A smile went up on my face but then quickly evaporated when the footsteps walked right past my door and to my neighbor's. I groaned again and slumped back down.

"Stupid Goldilocks and his hunting with my boyfriend. I have a right to be with him too." I said to myself.

More footsteps and this time the lock on my door rattled and the front door rattled. This time Alec stepped through. Mud coated his boots and his hair was matted down with sweat and grime, his jacket was coated in blood and there was a freshly applied iratze on his arm when he took it off. "I know I'm late... I'm sorry let me take a quick shower then I'll explain." he said and I simply waved him off and crossed my arms along my chest, refusing to look at him. I heard him scurry off to the bathroom and closed the door, the shower turned on and I got up to get more wine.

After a few more minutes of waiting, I heard the water turn off and Alec's feet as he padded out back into the living room. His hair was soaked through this time and he wore his usual black sweatpants and sweater covered in holes.

"Okay so-" He began to explain but I held up my hand cutting him off.

"Don't. I don't want to know what happened on your hunt. What I do want to know is that during the ten hours that you've been gone why you haven't at least sent a text letting me know your okay?" I questioned and looked at the shadowhunter for the first time tonight.

"Because Magnus. I can't do that when I'm killing demons."

"Not even for five seconds?"

"Magnus..." Alec sighed and looked at through his dark blue eyes. "I told you this before, I'm a shadowhunter first. Believe me I'd rather stay here with you."

I crossed my arms and looked at the far wall past him. Alec sighed again and threw up his arms in protest. "Alright fine, I don't know what else to tell you. I'm going to bed." He turned and started walking toward our bedroom.

"No. I want you out. Take what you need and you'll be sleeping in your bed at the institute tonight." I ordered. The shadowhunter stopped in his tracks then turned to look back at me.

"W-what?" He stuttered.

"You heard me, take what you need to sleep and go." I repeated, motioning to the front door.

"Come on Magnus, let me stay." Alec pleaded and sat down on the couch across from me, taking my hand in his he kissed the top of it then looked back up at me past his hair. He was so cute when he was like this and he looked so vulnerable... no stop it you're mad at him.

"No. Go to your own bed Alexander, maybe I'll be in a better mood tomorrow. It's what you get for making me worry so much." I argued and took my hand back.

The shadowhunter looked like he was thinking then finally spoke with a grin on his face. "Alright. I'll go."

I was surprised at his response and started to get a little sad. "Fine."

"So I take what I need to sleep and go to my own bed correct?" He asked and got little closer, he was standing up now.

"That's what I- Alexander!" I screamed as the shadowhunter reached over, picked me up bridal style, and started carrying me to our bedroom door. Wrapping my arms around his neck so he wouldn't drop me, I glared at him.

"What? You said to take what I need to sleep and go to bed. Last time I checked, I need you and your bed is mine also." he snickered and I cursed his little loop holes, but I could feel my cheeks heat up as I flushed. Alec simply smiled and looked back at me. Reaching over I stroked a hair strand in front of his face then leaned forward and kissed him slowly, earning a blush from the boy.

"I love you." Alec whispered when we broke away and brought me closer to him.

"I love you too." I said it back and brought his lips back into mine as he set me down on our bed and crawled on top of me, our lips never losing contact.
