Summary: The year is 2040. There has been a zombie outbreak and there are very many few left. They did not get older and Magnus and Alec don't know each other.

Alec's POV:
"Jace there's too many of them! We have to go!""Alec go!"
"Not without you!"
"Keep Izzy safe!"
"Jace no!"
"Alec go!"
"Jace!"
"Alec!"
"Alec!"
"Alec!"
I sat up abruptly, my shirt, practically soaked in sweat, clinging to me like a second skin. Daylight was streaming through the window beside me, Izzy was standing next to my small bed with a worried look.
"I'm fine." I told her and got out of bed.
"Don't lie to me. You were practically screaming out his name, I had to wake you up before they started showing up." Izzy said, walking away to her side of the room. We have been walking for a long time now and we never stay at one place for long.
"I'm sorry." I said quietly as I grabbed my bag and bow.
Izzy was quiet for a few seconds and I could feel her looking at me. "I miss him too. I miss both of them." She told me silently.
After a few check over the supplies, I swung my backpack over my shoulder and we both exited the small house. The small town was deserted, withered out cars on the road, two zombies were limping along at the end of the street.
"Its's clearer than it was yesterday." I told Izzy beside me and she nodded in response as we started walking, our backs toward the two undead.

"Man I would kill for a shower." Isabelle complained from a few steps behind me.
"Yeah, I know." I sighed "Me too."
The beaming sun was baking my back as we kept walking. There was woods on both sides of us and I was hoping for any other sign of life soon.
"What do you miss most?" My sister asked out of the blue.
"What?"
"What do you miss most?" She repeated and fell into step beside me. "You know, before all this happened."
I thought for a moment before answering. "The fencing classes after school." I told her.
"Bullshit, you complained about those every time." She let out with a small laugh.
"Well I'm not now." I said, a small smile creeping up to my face.
"I miss seeing you come home everyday with your ass kicked." Izzy laughed.
I laughed along, nodding my head. "Yeah Jace was always the best in that class." I pointed out, the smile disappearing.

We finally found another town, after five hours of walking and resting on the side of the road. We were both searching through a house when we heard a car outside, along with voices.
I looked at Isabelle as we crouched down and looked out the window giving us a view to the street outside. A black truck was parked right in front of the door, a guy with short brown hair stood next to the truck, a small gun in his hand and an even bigger one strapped to his back.
