Insulting

Summary: Alec overhears a certain conversation at the institute and comes home with a black eye.

Magnus' POV

Chairman meow stretched out on the couch beside me as the television screen flickered through channels as I searched for something to watch. It was late already and Alec should be heading home by now.

I scratched Chairman behind the ears as the front door opened and Alec stepped through. He had a hoodie on, the hood up and covering his eyes.

"Hi Magnus." He let out before kicking off his boots, he kept his face down.

"Hello my darling." I greeted back and walked over to him.

He stepped back a bit and I stopped a few feet in front of him.

"Alexander what's wrong?" I questioned.

"Um nothing."

I walked over again a bit slower this time and pushed his face up with my finger under his chin. I gaped at the sight. Alec had a dark purple bruise surrounding his left, bright blue eye along with a cut on his top lip.

"Alexander what happened?" I questioned, examining the black eye.

He winced as I touched his face slightly.

"Um well..." He began, I eyed him carefully. "I was just about to leave the institute when I heard Raj talking to some other shadowhunters. He said 'Don't be such a warlock.', using it as an insult for being lazy and useless."

"So he punched you in the face?"

"Not exactly." Alec continued. "He didn't notice I was behind him until everyone else went silent, he turned around and eyed me. I told him not to say that stuff anymore but he just kept going. I might've lost my temper. Jace had to pull me off him."

Once he finshed, my eyes were wide, nobody has ever done that for me and I was just speechless that this beautiful Shadowhunter would really do something like that for someone like me.

"I see how you work here at home and you aren't lazy or useless. I am pretty sure he isn't going to be using warlock as an insult anymore." Alec chuckled and licked the cut on his lip.

"Alexander you continued to surprise me everyday." I finally said and planted a kiss on his lips.

"In good ways I hope."

I smiled at him. "Now why didn't you use you're stele?"

"I like it when you heal me." He smiled back up at me and I just rolled my eyes before snapping my fingers to life and making the purple coloring go away and the cut seal on his lip.

"I love you." I told him before kissing him again.

"I love you too Magnus."

So I did.
I know its rather short and what better Shadowhunter to use as the bad guy than Raj right?
