"Sunday afternoon in a park? Seriously?" my face says it all: I'm really not liking what I am seeing right now.
"Well, for once, I wanted us to try something normal."
A park filled with happy families, children merrily running, squeals of thrill and laughter and enthusiastic vendors. People. People. People! Sobrang daming tao sa paligid and this is what you consider normal, Hero? This makes me feel as if I'm in a rally or something. Ugh!
Itinuro ko kay Hero all the chaos that my eyes is being surrounded by. May I put on the records the level of disgust I have. "If you call this normal then I am now having doubts with how you define things, Corpuz."
Hero, the main source of my growing annoyance, just laughed it off as he places his arms on my shoulder. "At least naman dito, hindi nila tayo kilala. Hindi tayo mayaman dito. We're just inconsequential here."
Frankly, gusto ko na talagang sabunutan ng buong husay itong lalaking kasama ko. I am just great at restraining myself, just to prevent myself making stupid scenes in a public place. So yeah, I just contented myself with shooting daggers at him.
You see, Hero is quite the philanthropic. Ayaw niya yung may inaapi at may nang-aapi and all that kind of stuff. Once, I paid him a surprise visit in his company but boy, was I the one to be shocked!
Everything is so casual. Ibang iba ang opisina nila sa mga opisina ng mga partner namin, especially my office. In here, you wouldn't feel any strand of formality in the air. The executives who are supposed to exude intimidation, you'll just see all of them laughing with the rank and file employees. This is so nothing like my company.
At dahil nga napapadalas ang pag-sama ko sa kanya, his philanthropy is getting all over me. Binibigyan niya ako ng isang bagay that I have long been existing without: conscience.
He then just suddenly dragged me into an area that that's not that crowded, it was just beside the woods. What weirded me out is the fact na handang handa talaga siya para sa araw na'to.He has a picnic basket filled with all the must haves for a basic picnic.
'Ba't kasi nag-dress ka ngayon? 'Yang binti mo oh!" Hero was being kinda worked up as he tries to cover my legs with the jacket he was wearing earlier.
"You were in my house, you should have asked me to change earlier.'
He stared at me for two seconds before shaking his head in defeat. Hah. Kailan ba naman siya mananalo sa'kin?
