"But I'm not really in the mood to work, Anna. Please cover me up!" It takes 2 strawberry moon and a blue moon before I beg of something to someone. I usually don't beg for I get the things I want even if I don't ask for it. With that being said, I really hope that my ever loving and caring bestfriend-cum-secretary sees that. I'm keeping fingers deeply crossed."Psh. But you'd need to pull out all nighters just to skip this one."
Phew! I sighed in relief. For a second, I really thought Anna wouldn't allow me to do what I want. Not that I need Anna's permission before doing things that I wanted to do with the company that I technically own but it would really pay off to let your secretary know how you are planning to execute your day.
Have you ever felt that feeling that you feel so lazy you don't want to do anything? Somewhere between the crevices of my brain, I hear that hit song of Bruno Mars playing continuously inside my head. Indeed, I just don't feel like doing anything today.
I ended my conversation with Anna as I showered her with gratitude. I even told her that she's the best bestfriend I have ever had na tinawanan lang niya since alam naman namin both na siya lang ang naging bestfriend ko.
I had my mind set right after the call ended. I would return back to my unit, turn the AC to full blast, wear my favorite house dress as I snuggle up with my duvet while I am indulging myself with a tub of Ben and Jerry's. Voices of Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass flew back at the top of my head. Ahh. My body is yearning for some much needed relaxation and I give full credits to the heavy rain for granting what my body wishes.
Honestly, I've never been so tired before today. I was sailing as smooth as silk before the preparations for the community project started. And even as the charity auction has ended, there's still a lot of things to do that I would be fortunate if I get 4 hours of sleep a day. In all the years I am the COO of Mercado Holdings, I have never been as busy as I am right now which is actually fine by me. The level of how occupied I am with work directly translates to millions that the company will earn.
Everything was moving according to how I mentally planned it up until my driver met up a build up of cars on our way home. With so much laziness, I plugged in my earphones and let Sam Smith tune me out of reality.
The stop light has turned green and cars started to move when I laid my eyes on the coziest coffee shop that I have ever seen. I'm not really sure if the interiors meet up the facade of the shop but it doesn't matter because I'm already sold in. Those elegant yet comfortable looking outdoor fixtures and that shade of earth that serves as the tone of the walls, everything swam its way to my eyes and drowned me.
The invigorating and warming aroma of coffee found its way to my senses as soon as the chimes signalled my entrance. And boy was I right about my gut feel, this place is a slice of heaven here on earth. This coffee shop is a feast for my senses.
I was about to approach the counter to place my counter when I heard voices around me which is totally normal since this is a public space but what got my attention is the familiarity of how the voices sound. When I turned around, I saw the faces of the people I least expected to see.
These girls across me were not just familiar faces, they were my batchmates in college with Anna. As Anna became famous for being the top of the class, these girl were known for being the typical cheerleaders.
Of course all of them are beautiful, I mean everyone expects them to be so after undergoing countless of plastic surgeries ever since freshmen years. They're stylish, wearing the hottest trend though I'm not sure about the authenticity of the articles. And they are all packaged with having brains the size of my nipples and also attitudes coming from the trash.
