Say good bye to old lives

Rashel's pov

We were back in the tribe and we had our first battle. It felt just like old times, but there was still something missing from it that would never be there. I sighed and hugged my companions. We jumped into our tree houses and the sun set in with a gentle breeze to welcome the cooler night. Lily and I climbed into our beds and closed our eyes. Behind my eyelids I saw a replay of old memories from the tribe and all the fun we used to have here. I loved it in my normal home but I would still always have a piece of me here. It was early morning when Lily shook my shoulder. "What?" I asked dazed. "How about we wake everyone up like old times?" I open my eyes to her smiling down on me. I rolled out of bed and we both got changed before waking the boys and grabbing our stuff from the hidden hallow between our rooms. The stumps rose and we sat ready to play our wake up song. The drums under Lily's hands caused a steady rhythm through  the trees I picked up the stringed instrument and started playing along. James had a bass and Connor had a pipe. Together the four of us lifted our heads to the sky and sang:

Each treehouse positioned around the tribe erupted in a chorus of cheers as people got up and ready. Everyone had joined in the song and we all looked around to the people gathering near the center of the village to sort out the days chores. We had defeated him once again hopefully it would be the last time but boy was I wrong.
