Final battle

Lily's pov

I ran through the trees more like flew. I reached the clearing to the tribe and I stopped short. My heart stopped too. Amaw was here to destroy Fallen Moon, MY tribe. In his arms was Carder, the little girl I had introduced to everyone when we got here. He had her in a headlock and she was screaming the leaves off the trees. Amaw just yelled right above her. "Come and face me!!!! You little tribe will fall by my hand starting with this one!!!" He pointed to Carder. I caught the eyes of the group I brought with me and told them to stand down for now. Then I saw it. In the trees everyone in the tribe stood ready to fight. Their animals posed at their sides waiting too. It was dark and I could see. But not everyone could. Huge hanging lanterns swung out into the darkness. Poof!! One had a fire inside creating dim light. One by one the lanterns flushed the tribe with light. Then the last one was lit. Everyone swarmed out of the trees surrounding Amaw. He stood with confidence still and only raised an eyebrow. "Well if you want her come and get her." That caused the group to take a step towards him. Then a small ring of people and animals stepped forward. "Let her go." It was Jangah who spoke, he is one of the best warriors in the tribe. "Why would I do that without a fight?"  Jangah sprung from the circle and hit my dad. That's when this war started. A flood of people working for my dad came from the trees and there was battling back and forth. The people I brought joined the battle and me and my team did to. I caught a glimpse of Jasper among the others fighting soon the tribe returned to the tree line  with all of my dads men down. He had released Carder and my group and team stood in front of my dad. He was weakened and they could easily take him down. "Stand down!" I didn't say it out loud but it echoed to them they stopped and returned to the tree line. In unison two huge black panthers slimmed towards my dad. One of them was me, the other Jasper. It was like a mirror both shifting back at the same time both in the same stance facing him. "Ah, so where have you been all these years hmm?" His voice still chilled me to the bone and Jasper answered. "Me I've been here. Tigerlily has been with her other family." He looked us both on the eye. "Well now you get to help me!" His hand was out but so was ours.
