"What are we supposed to do now? Go back to our lives like nothing ever happened?" I asked. I mean, apart from the fact that I just found out my absolute best friend and his friends were werewolves, I was a werewolf, that I have some super crazy special powers, and I had won the X-Factor, everything about out lives is pretty normal. Okay who am I kidding, if I called our lives normal I would be straight up lying to myself.
"Do you really think that's possible?" James spoke up. His thick British accent filled the air around Alex and I. I stepped away from Alex and looked at James. "Hey. I know you didn't exactly get what you wanted in the kidnapping situation, and you never will, but why are you so mean. You always look like your going to claw somebody's eyes out." I said dramatically. James hissed at me and folded his arms. Glad to see I could bring out his inner two-year-old. "Just watch this." I mentally said to Alex. I made sure James couldn't hear me.
"But hey, I'm always available if I'm not busy with- I glanced over at Alex- something else," I said messing with his hair. His face went red and he swatted my hand away. I turned around to see a huge smirk on Alex's face. "So when do I get that something else?" Alex's voice rang through my mind. "When you deserve it, pretty boy." I replied.
I knew James was confused as to what we were talking about, but I didn't care. Even though I was some place where I had no idea where I was, one person present kidnapped me, and one may possibly not even like me, I'd have to say, this was fun. "How do we get out of here?" I asked James. "And I should let you go, why?" He responded. "Because Mr. Mallow, I'm special. And I can't hurt you in ways that haven't even been invented yet." I said.
I was trying my best to scare him, even though I had no idea what I would do or if It would even hurt him, but it felt pretty good to say. Alex was silently chuckling to himself as he said,"That's my girl." James just rolled his eyes as a response before hissing,"if you're so amazing follow Alex's tracks back home."
I looked at him nervously as he told me he would teach me.
"All you have to do, is get a smell of that person, focus on them, breathe in nice and deep, close your eyes, and look at the ground right after opening them. You should see a colored trail. It takes weeks to master though, so I'll just tell you where to go." His voice bounced around my head. I walked over to him and hugged him while sniffing his hair. "Alright, pretty boy lets go." I said out loud. I squatted to the ground and morphed into a wolf. Breathing in and closing my eyes, I opened them to a clear blue trail zig-zagging along the old gravel road. I started chasing the blue line as he followed and ran after me. "Wait you can't just run in a random direction." Alex said. "But I'm not." I responded. I kept running and I would just sense Alex was impressed.
"Good luck with that." James said amused. He was still a human right where he was when we left.
