Chapter 13

Aphmau POV
I toss and turn in my bed. Today's events playing over and over in my mind. First, my day day starts with Senpei talking to me. Then... Laurence kisses another girl. Then I go to the arcade. Then... Garroth.

I sigh, feeling bad for him. After I ran out of the arcade, I walked around the corner and sat on a bench to calm myself down. I knew I had to do something to get my mind of Laurence. Then I remembered that I had promised Garroth we would meet up if I had any free time, since Garroth lives in New York.

I called him and we decided to meet at a diner nearby so I could walk. Garroth was already there, and we immediately started getting caught up. I was having such a good time. I think I might have actually forgotten wat had happened earlier that day.

Then, Garroth said those three words that Laurence said just yesterday: I love u. Again I froze. I really didn't know wat to say this time. I really only thought of Garroth as a friend.

So I told him, "Um, I'm sorry Garroth. But my heart belongs to another." And then more quietly, "Even if he won't accept it..."

Neither of us knew wat to say for the rest of the meal. We kind of just awkwardly stared elsewhere until we were done. Garroth said a quick goodbye and zipped out. I felt really bad for him. It wasn't his fault. It was nothing he did. It was just that, I was still in love with Laurence.

I push the memories away again. Shaking my head I come back to the now. A darkened room. I could tell now that this would probably be a sleepless night.

Then I cringed, remembering that tomorrow there was a convention to go to. Which means I would have to see Laurence. I am scared to be honest. I don't know wat I will say to him. I turn over closing my eyes and drifting off into a fitful slumber.
