Chapter 16

Laurence POV
I opened my eyes to the beeping of my phone. I turn over and pick it up off the side table. The notification on my phone stated that I had a taxie picking me up in an hour.

I sighed and got out of bed. My week of fun filled activities has turned into a week full of avoiding and awkwardness. I got myself packed up and took the elevator down.

There was a sort of common area to the left of the door, so I took a seat. I had only been sitting for a few minutes before the elevator dinged and Aph exited. I knew this would be the last time we would see each other for awhile. I had to talk to her, to tell her that I loved her.

So I put my bags down and headed towards her. The closer I got the more nervous I got. My head was screaming to turn around and walk back to the safety of my bags, but I persisted.
When I was within ten feet of her, she looked up from her phone and saw me walking in her direction. She blushed and pushed her hair behind her ear.

When I finally reached her we stared into each other's eyes for a moment. Then I surprised myself. For I reached down and took her hands in mine. She blushed even harder, and looked down at our hands.

"Aph?" I said. "Yes?" she said softly, not looking up. "I wanted to tell u this again. Ever since the arcade, u seem to have forgotten. And I know u have already moved on with Garroth, but I just wanted u to know. I sill love u."

I turn to go, letting go of her hands and walking toward my bags. I haven't gone two feet before I feel as hand grab mine. I turn around.

Aphmau's POV
I was just standing there, texting Katelyn when I heard footsteps approaching. I looked up, and to my amazement, Laurence was walking up to me I blush and when he takes my hands in his, I blush even harder.

"Aph?" he asks, and I look down at my feet. "Yes?" I reply. "I wanted to tell u this again. Ever since the arcade, u seem to have forgotten. And I know u have already moved on with Garroth, but I just wanted u to know. I sill love u."

He starts to walk away. Wat, why would he think that I am with Garroth, I love u Laurence I thought. So without thinking about it, I grabbed his hand. He turned around and I could see the confusion, surprise, and love on his face.

I smiled and said, "Laurence, u have it all wrong, I'm not in love with Garroth, I still love u. And to be honest I'm the one who thought u were who moved on. I mean I saw u kissing with that girl, so I understand if u would rather be with her then me."

Laurence's face looked so happy that I thought maybe he was happy to hear that I wouldn't mind if he went with the other girl.

But no, because the next thing he said was, "Wat, I don't like that girl I was kissing, I hate her. I didn't kiss her, she kissed me. Ur the one I love Aph!" I blushed and he was about to say something else when a car drove up and honked.

I looked over, it was my ride to the airport. "Sorry, I have to go Laurence." I said sheepishly. "Oh..." he said obviously disappointed. "Well, we can play some more World of Diariescraft when we get home. I need to teach u this new trick I learned." I said.

The car honked again. "Ugh, I've got to go Laurence, bye!" And in the spur of the moment I kissed him on the cheek. He froze, and I giggled as I ran to the car and got in.

I saw him touch his cheek, and turn around to wave goodbye in a dazed sort of way. I laughed again. Maybe this wasn't such a bad trip after all.
