"Carmen, you father wants to talk to you." The Principal said leading her to the conference room.
Carmen pulled she cheer dress down a bit, then pulled her hair out her face. She stood in front of the door, she took a deep breath. Slowly she stepped in the room, her green/grey eyes instantly locked with her father's. She inched to the seat across from him.
"father. " she whispered coldly.
"Carmen, why are you like this." Desmond sighed leaning forward on the table.
"You went to jail." Carmen exasperated. "You left me, and mom and Garrett.".
"why don't you believe me when i said i was innocent." Desmond asked growing slightly annoyed.
"Cause I learned only lies come out your mouth." Carmen laughed getting up and leaving the room.

present time.
James unlocked his door. He sighed dropping his duffle bag near the door, then kicked off his sneaker. He walked farther into his apartment and found Carmen asleep on his couch. He smiled down at her, he lifted her carrying her to his room. He softly laid her on the bed. James quickly changed into sweatpants, he quietly opened the door. He was about the slip out when Carmen said something.
"Please stay." she said sitting up.
"Ok"
Carmen moved over in his bed making room for him. James lied down pulling Carmen to him, She rested her head on his chest listening to his heartbeat. Her eyelids began to get heavy.
-----
Carmen rolled over in the bed, her head pounding.
"Oh god." she moaned opening one eye.
she sat up, rubbing her eyes stumbling to the bathroom, emptying to contents of her stomach.
