Harry just stands there, his mouth wide staring at the ring sitting it the black velvet box, and it was the most gorgeous thing he's very seen. A large diamond say in the middle on the gold band, which as made up of intertwined lengths of gold metals, so it looked like the ring was covered in vines, little strings of diamonds placed here and there around the band. Harry's hands went to his mouth and he dropped go his knees in front of Louis, lunging at him and knocking him back on the the plush light blue rug that covered the pale wood floor of the nursery, kissing him hard, and they locked eyes, Louis wide blue eyes full of happiness, Harrys green counterparts full of tears then Harry clamped his eyes shut and pulled back, opening them again, kissing Louis repeatedly mutter
"Yes!" Each time, each yes punctuated with a kiss. Louis looks so happy Harry doesn't think he can handle how cute his tiny boyfriend, fiancée is. Fiancée, he thinks giddily sitting up and pulling Louis up with his, Louis hand reaching for the ring box and slipping the shiny gold band out of the box and onto Harrys long slender finger, where it fit perfectly. Harry stared at it in awe
"How much did this freaken ring cost you!" Harry says pushing Louis shoulders lightly, afraid to know the cost
"It's none of your concern" Louis answers grinning "Do you like it?" Louis asks and Harry turns to him
"No I don't like it" he says and Louis face falls "I goddamn love it, now kiss me you fool" Harry says and Louis face goes from heartbroken to disbelief to irritation and then to fond in a matter of seconds and he pulls Harry in for a slow, sweet kiss, pressing their foreheads together giggling, sitting on the nursery floor.
All good things must come to an end thought because moments later Harry stiffens up, wincing as he clenches his eyes shut
"Small one...." He mutters "but it's making my back even worse" he says his hands cradling his bump as Louis stands, helping Harry to his feet and slowly leading him over to the white storage chest near the closet. Harry sits gratefully and Louis begins to dig his fingers into Harrys lower back, kneading the skin there gently and Harry leans forward, his rather large bump settling on his crossed legs, as he was sitting criss-cross-Apple-sauce as he liked to call it and his relaxed, letting Louis little fingers work their magic and relieve the tension in every bit of Harrys back he could manage to.
Harry really appreciated having Louis around, Louis, would do just about anything to see him smile and be happy, who would go to the ends of the earth to help Harry and who didn't a leave him when things got difficult.
Later that day, harry and louis were lying down on the couch, harry rotating the ring around his finger absently when louis stands
"Ill be right back darling stay there" Louis says and then gets to work, moving around the house and grabbing things before grabbing the keys on the way out of the house, calling out to harry
"Ill be right back darling" he shouts, leaving the house, slamming the door behind him, leaving harry very confused and shocked, sitting on the couch where Louis left him.
Meanwhile louis was driving in harry's pick up truck, headed into London. When he gets there, he drives to the store picking up all the supplies he needed. Then just as he's getting into the harry texts him
knock knock
Louis groans rolling his eyes fondly and responds
who's there
harry misses
harry misses who?
harry misses you :(
