Harry was sick.

He was sick and miserable. He was curled up in bed where Louis was tending to him hand and foot.

"Louis, your gonna get sick!" Harry says sniffing, Louis handing him a tissue so he can blow his nose. The sound resonated through the silence until Louis responds

"I don't get sick" he says proudly and sits beside Harry

"What do you want love?" Louis asks pushing Harry's hair back from his face.

"Put my hair up will you? Just don't jostle me too much I might throw up again" he mutters, his eyes clenched shut and he whimpers. Louis can see he's struggling in the natural light coming from the window, so he goes and closes the blinds making Harry smile gratefully as Louis walks back and pulls Harrys hair of gently.

"Hold me please" Harry whimpers, pulling his engagement ring off the putting it on the night stand before building up the strength to roll over. Louis rolls his eyes and walks over to the bed, crawling in and noticing the startling warmth inside the bed. So he pulls his shift and sweats off before pulling Harry carefully into his arms making him sigh contentedly. Louis kisses the top of Harrys head and let's him wrap his arms around Louis waist before hugging Harry tighter to his chest.

"We should make some more of those scones...." Harry says, remembering they had ran out a few days back. Louis chuckles

"You know I can't cook or bake, I'd burn your kitchen down" Louis says and Harry smiles with his eyes closed

"Yeah that might be a good idea" Harry chuckles before his eyes scrunch and he pats Louis muttering bucket over and over. Louis reaches over him but before he can get it under Harry's face Harry pukes all over the bed, getting some of it in the bucket at the end. Then he breaks down, crying into his hands and apologizing over and over.

"Harry, harry!" Louis says shushing him "it's okay Harry, it wasn't your fault you okay" he says rubbing Harrys back gently. Then he sets Harry up against the wall of their room, and strips the bed, throwing the soiled sheets into the washer and starts it. He returns to the room with a new set of sheets, soft grey sheets with black spots, and fits them onto the bed. He lifts Harry, who had fallen asleep from the floor and places him in the bed, pulling the covers up around him then he leaves the room. He goes outside, sitting on the back porch with the door open so he could listen for Harry. The cat slunk out past him miaowing and rubbing against his hip as it went before bounding off into the garden, in search a small animal or bird. The day was warm, even with the gentle breeze Louis was too warm in his sweats. He sighed and turned to go back inside, shutting the door behind him.

Hours later at dinner time Harry still wasn't up and Louis knew he needed to eat. So he pulled out a can of chicken noodle soup and began to warm it up, adding the ne necessary amount of water and heating it to a boil before transferring it from the pot into a bowl and popping a new cold spoon into it. He is the bowl upstairs into his and Harry's room and places it on the night table next to Harry's engagement ring. Then he gently shake Harry shoulder until he wakes up grumbling about how he wants more sleep

"Come on love, I made you some soup you need to eat" Louis quietly says

So Louis helps Harry sit up, Propping pillows up behind him because he was too weak to sit up on his own.

He begins to spoon feed harry the soup, making harry finish as much as he could stomach before putting the bowl back on nightstand, moving the pillows from behind Harry so he could lie back down.

Later on that evening harry's fever breaks and louis is relieved, because if it had climbed much higher, he would have had to bring harry into the emergency room.
