Enjoy reading and give me your feedback:)"Oh Hareem! What a pleasant surprise."
It seemed more of a shock than a pleasant surprise from the expressions of Amna."Hareem! my dear it's really good to see you...w...why didn't you inform us? I could have picked you from the airport..."
Same was the tone of Ibad. Hareem tried to smile.
"Umm...I just..I was missing you guys..thought I would surprise you."
She avoided to meet their gazes.
"Hareem!! what have you done to yourself..?!?"
Amna gasped looking at her. Ibad looked worried too."Nothing, it's just the job..." she meekly said and started to drag her bag in her room. She could never tell them the real cause of her unexpected arrival.
"I'm really tired maa, I'll sleep for sometime."
She was trying to escape any further explanation, she would have to give otherwise.
*****
She was walking impatiently in circles, in her room. She was not here to sleep. How could she sleep? She had to find him, and was thinking right now about where should she go...
She ran her hand through her thick hair. Anxiety took over her. She wanted to leave immediately but that would be suspected by her parents because apparently she was here for her parents.
There was no way for her to go out this much early. She had to wait for sometime though it was hard but it was the only way she would not be suspected.
She spent the hour walking like a crazy person in the room. What would she say to him? How would she apologize for what she did? How would she forgive for what he did?"I am doing this for the sake of Allah." She recalled again and again.
"....In the hope that Allah would forgive me..."
*****
At last she came out of her room after two hours that seemed like forever to her. Only she knew how she had passed those hours staring at the empty walls and circling in the room."Ammi I've gotta go somewhere, I'll be back in a while."
She conveyed her message in a single breathe, swiftly walking out the door before she could be interviewed about anything. Ibad looked up from the newspaper and both of them looked at the door, from where she had just passed, with a confused expression.*****
She stopped the car in front of his house and sighed, not yet getting out of it.
Everything from the past seemed to float in front of her. This was Zohaib's house. How could she forget it. It was the place from where she kidnapped him. It was a beautiful house, but had lost its freshness, that used to be its crown before.
Her heart was thumping so hard, that it could explode easily. She came out of the car and walked through the beautiful garden. Last time she came here it had no flowers but now the air was loaded with variety of refreshing fragrances.
She stopped right in front of the door. Everything of her past came back to life. For an instant she could not believe that she was standing in front of his threshold. She had never ever imagined to come to him by her own will. Life is so unpredictable. It rarely comes out to be what we have planned.
She took a deep breath and slowly placed her hand on the door bell, pressing it gently. For a few moments there was nothing.
Her heart raced even faster. Her body drenched in sweat.
After a while she heard a click. Her eyes were fully beamed. The door went opening and there stood a woman of quite an old age. Her hair were purely white at the temples while the rest were on their way to aging. She examined Hareem from head to toe in an annoyed manner.
Hareem stood still trying to perceive all the happenings up till now. After an awkward silence of a few instants the woman held a questioning frown.
