Chapter 27 ~ Vincent

~ Melisa's POV ~

The room was silent as the man and I sat there, not saying a word to each other.

Yes, I am tied up to a chair.

He was just staring at me for the past hour. It's really annoying and it's getting on my nerves.

"Are you going to take my powers?" I asked him wanting to break the silence.

The man stood up from his chair with a smirk and slowly walked up to me. He stopped right in front of me and squatted down to face me.

"What makes you think that I would do that?"

"That was why you kidnapped me the first time, so tell me." I said raising an eyebrow.

He chuckled before answering.
"Yes, I am going to take your powers. But, i'll let you go after."

He was lying, I could see it in his eyes.

"You're lying."

He raised one eyebrow and looked confused.

He stared at me for a couple of seconds and then his confused face turned into an surprised one.

"So, one of your powers is to see if someone is lying or telling the truth. Interesting." He said and stood back up again.

What, how can he know that for sure.

But wait, so my second power is knowing if someone is lying or telling the truth? That explains why I could feel that Christina was telling the truth at Starbucks.

I wonder what my thirth power is.

I heard the door open and I snapped out of my thoughts.

The man also looked at the door as it opened.

Two men came in the room while dragging a blindfolded person into the room.

I already knew who it was, Justin.

They sat him down on a chair and tied him up, removing the blindfold. They didn't remove the duct tape. The two men left the room closing the door behind them.

Justin looked around the room, his eyes land on me and they widen.

He said something but I couldn't understand it because of the duct tape.

"Nice seeing you again Justin." The man said as he walked up to Justin.

Justin didn't respond and the man stopped in front of him.

He ripped the duct tape off of Justin's mouth and threw it in the trash can next to him.

He walked back to the chair he sat on before and sat down.

"So, i'll tell you why you two are here."

"Finally." I said.

"After you two escaped, I thought that it would be nice to visit two other special ones." He began, Justin and I looked at each other and then back at the man.

"I brought them here, and I took their powers away from them." He said with a smirk.

"You can't do that." I said now angry.
