"What?" Allison asked, as she noticed Jimmy staring at her as the two of them were eating breakfast together.
"Nothin." He shook his head with a smile, looking back down at his pancakes.
"No, what?" She said, curious now, putting her fork down to take a sip of coffee.
"I'm just thinkin." Jimmy shrugged, going back to his breakfast.
"About what?" She probed.
"Ugh," He let out a sigh, with a smile beginning to creep up on his face, "Bout you." He laughed.
Allison rolled her eyes at him, "Really?" She asked, unconvinced, "Suure."
"I was!" He defended, "Thinkin about when you're gonna officially move in here." He admitted, referring to his place.
Allison thought about it for a second. She'd been living in the apartment she had now for the last five years, she wasn't sure exactly how easy it was going to be to give up.
"Hmm," She thought out loud, "Soon?" She answered, unsurely.
"How soon?" He asked.
"I don't know, J." She said, honestly, "Maybe I'll try and put it up for sale this week." She said, "As soon as I get it sold, I'll move right in." She smiled.
"It's taking so long." Jimmy frowned, slightly.
"We have a long time to live together," Allison reminded him, "Plus, I'm sure you'll get tired of me being here all the time soon, anyways." She smirked.
"Never."
----------
It'd been a couple days since Allison and Jimmy's last conversation about her moving in. And, since it was the beginning of summer, she figured it was her best time to try and sell her apartment.
She'd shown it to a couple people so far, but hadn't gotten any direct offers yet. Just as she was showing out someone who was taking a look around, her phone started ringing.
After locking the door, she sat down on her couch and saw her friend Xander calling, "Hey, Xan." She answered with a smile.
"Hey!" He greeted her over the phone.
"What's going on?"
"I got some big news..." He trailed off.
"What kinda news?" Allison asked worriedly, "You okay?"
"Oh, yeah," He laughed slightly, "I'm moving..."
"Moving?" She asked with confusion, to her friend who lived on the East Coast, "Where?"
"Home." Xander finally said into the phone.
"Are you serious?" She asked with excitement.
"Yeah," He confirmed, explaining the story of his transfer to Chicago.
"That's...crazy." She said happily, "I'm so excited!" She said, truthfully.
"I know." He sighed, feeling anxious to get back home, "Just have to find a place, I'll be there next week."
"An apartment?" She asked.
"Yeah."
"Hmm, lemme think for a minute." She said, trying to think of all the places she'd seen for rent recently.
"I ha-" Xander began before getting cut off.
"WAIT!" Allison stopped him, with excitement, feeling like an idiot for not thinking of this earlier, "You can take my place!"
