Caught Up // Jimmy Butler

Chapter 24

"Oh, hey..." Jimmy said awkwardly to the women, who had greeted to the soon to be spouses.

"You remember me, don't you?" She asked with a look, suddenly looking between the two of us, "Who's this?"

"Um, A, this is Jada." Jimmy introduced, "Jada this is my fiancé, Allison."

"Oh." Jada said, pursing her lips, "Well it's good to meet you." She forced a smile.

"Uh, yeah," Allison nodded, "You too?" Who was this woman?

"Anyways," Jimmy interjected, "We have an appointment to look at some-"

"You're my 11:15?" Jada rolled her eyes.

"Oh, you work here?" Allison asked.

"Own it." She corrected, "Follow me." She sighed, turning on her heel as Allison gave Jimmy a look.

"What?" He asked, looking down at her.

"Who is she?" Allison whispered, as they followed Jada to the back.

"She's just...we went out a few times." Jimmy breathed.

"When?" Allison followed up. She usually wasn't all jealous. But, something in her changed a little. She's never heard of any 'Jada'.

"When we were on a break," Jimmy sighed, he really didn't wanna be bringing this up now, "Last year."

"Okay." She swallowed. Sure, she was a little upset that he didn't tell her, but she couldn't be mad that he was at least being honest.

"You're not mad?" He asked, skeptically.

"No," She shook her head, grabbing his hand, "I mean I asked, you told me the truth. That's all I care about."

"Wow, I love y-"

"Okay, let's pick out some samples then. Yeah?" Jada exclaimed, putting 6 different types of flowers in front of them to choose from.

"Ooo," Jimmy said obnoxiously, causing Allison to laugh.

"Which ones?" She asked eyeing the various flowers.

"I don't know," Jimmy sighed, "I mean you're the lady so like..." He trailed off giving her a toothy grin.

"Remember, I like roses." Jada interjected, as Jimmy gave her a confused look and Allison just ignored her.

"Nooo," Allison dragged out, "You're helping, pleaseee." She said, as Jada stood their awkwardly waiting for the couple to choose, "How bout these or these?" She asked him, pointing out the daisies and the carnations.

"Hmm," He said, looking between the two then back up at Allison. Picking up the two samples he help them up to her face. Finally deciding to place the daisy behind her ear, "That one." He nodded.

"Okay," She smiled, "The daisies it is then."

"Alright," Jada nodded, putting a form out in front of them, "Just fill this out and you'll...uh...we're all set." She said placing a pen in Jimmy's hand.

The two did as instructed, as filled out all necessary boxes.

"Thanks again!" Allison called as they made their way to the exit.

"Oh, Jimmy?" Jada stopped, causing Allison to internally roll her eyes, "See you around." She grinned. Looking up at Jimmy's face, Allison could tell he was taken aback.

"Jada...um." Jimmy began, as Allison just put her hand in front of his chest.

"No, I got it baby." She nodded, patting Jimmy's chest and he couldn't help but hold back a laugh, "Jada, really girl, really?" She asked, "You're just gonna keep going after him like I'm not here?"
