RJ pressed the door open through the house

"Je, what did you say?" he curiously asked as he took off his shoes and placed them on the shoe rack. It was quiet in the house except for the T.V

RJ guessed that his Uncle was already fast asleep. Since his job started off early in the morning he always slept before 8, RJ felt quite sorry for him. Though he made a lot of money, it couldn't buy the time he wasted just for his career. Now he knew what people meant by 'Money can't buy everything' Jerald turned his gaze from the television to his cousin, excitement in his eyes.

Releasing his grip from the remote he got up from the couch and rushed to RJ "Oy, so tell me what happened?"

"Wait up, you said I got a letter from the mail" RJ protested.

"Yeah don't worry I'll give it you, just tell me what happened between you and Maine first" Patience really wasn't one of his strong points.

"Well.... she tutored me? What do you expect?" He quickly replied as he turned his head away from Jerald. He knew he had nothing to be ashamed of, I and Maine were getting along well, what was wrong with that?

Jerald eyed him carefully, before releasing a gasp "Oh my god!, so friends na kayo?!?"

"What?!? No!!! What are you talking about?" RJ quickly defended. Pushing Jerald aside he walked over to the living room "Now give me the letter already" he sternly spat

-RJ
I hope I sent this letter to the right house. I mean, if your reading this right now then obviously the address was correct. Anyways, how was the move? Are you adjusting well in your new town? When you sent me the letter about your new address I couldn't help but smile. My uncle lives there, I don't know if that has to do with anything or not... but at least we're connected somehow, not just by these letters. We're gonna be graduating this year! I can't wait, I'm already picturing myself in a grad gown hehe. I remember you always making fun of me because I advanced two years ahead of school for my age. I never told you this, but when they told me to advance two grade levels, I was really scared that I wouldn't be able to find friends. Until you came along... I think I'm gonna go run for valedictorian in my school, what do you think? Anyways, I hope your doing well in your studies. You do want to go to the same college as me right? You promised! I'll end this letter for now, but I know this won't be the end. Just a few more months and we'll be in the same school once again, I'll be praying for that day to come faster! You probably changed so much, I really want to see you.

RJ smiled as he read the letter, a tear trickled down his right cheek. Brushing it away, he hugged the written paper and sighed. Louise's letters always had a way of pulling on his heartstrings 'I'll do good in school, I swear.... for you' he thought as he placed the letter back in the envelope.

For RJ, Louise was his joy, his inspiration and motivation.
The day he left his hometown, Louise was suppose to receive a letter from RJ, something RJ took quite a long time to write, something precious. The display of his heart.

[flashback]

It was sunny that day. RJ smiled as he stared at the letter in his hands with awe like a mother would to her new born baby. It had taken him two weeks to write it perfectly, a letter with just enough detail and eloquence that could melt your heart. His feelings were stitched to the words, his love etched in ink. It was as if he took his heart out, put it on a grinder and watched as it spewed out words. Louise, his best friend, and his first love, would know of his feelings today. It was now or never. He smiled as he carefully placed the letter in his jacket pocket.

RJ waited his best friend patiently on the park bench . He tapped his foot on the cement sidewalk, anxious and ecstatic at the same time. Lovers looked over to the raven haired boy as they walked past holding hands, their eyes seemed to portray some kind of new found joy. RJ watched them as they giggled and talked about anything and everything that came to mind. Sighing, his hand went for his jacket pocket hoping to have one final read before giving it to the rightful owner.
