Kai looked at Ophelia sternly and then down at the cheap white hospital blanket on her bed. She felt uncomfortable. She could feel the death around her, it felt like a heavy fog.

"Did you hear that?" Ophelia said, snapping him back into reality.

"Yes, I heard you, but I'm not a demon like you so I'm kind of indifferent." Whoever or whatever had saved him, it didn't matter. He was alive.

"I'm going to see about getting you out of here." Kai said as he leaned down to kiss her cheek.

He walked down the hall and took a right and walked up to the nurses desk.

"Can I check my friend Ophelia out please?" He said to the nurse who didn't even bother to look up as he spoke to her.

"Ophelia who?" She said uninterested as she typed mindlessly on her computer.

"Ophelia Emry Rose. She is probably the only Ophelia in this freaking hospital right now." He said annoyed. The nurse then proceeded to roll her eyes and pop the bubble gum that sloshed around in her mouth. Kai tapped his foot in angst as he glared at the young nurse. Her blue scrubs reflected off of her tan skin as he looked intently at the computer screen.

"Yeah, so like the doctor doesn't want her going home until tonight." She popped her gum yet again; making Kai's eye twitch.

"Well she looks fine, we're leaving. Thanks again." He turned his back to the nurse and walked towards Ophelia's small hospital room.

"She can't leave yet." He heard the nurse yell as he walked down the hall

"Don't care!" He yelled back.

He entered her hospital room and tossed her the bag that held some clothes of hers.

"Get up, we're leaving." He helped her out of bed and she fell to the floor.

"I can't, my leg hurts too bad to walk." Kai immediately picked Ophelia up and held her like a small child, nestled in his arms, disconnecting all of the cords and monitors from her arms and chest. He grabbed the bag of clothes and threw it over his shoulder and walked out. The nurse looked like she wanted to interject but held her tongue as they passed her, and walked out of the doors to his car.

He opened the passenger side door and slid Ophelia onto the seat and set her bag by her feet. He reached to buckle her seat belt for her but she stopped him.

"Wolfy, my leg just hurts, I'm not an invalid. I can do this." She smiled at him and buckled herself in. Her leg did hurt. A lot. But she knew it would heal soon. Demons didn't heal as fast as werewolves, but they do heal faster than a human does. Her leg should be healed up within the next few days at most.

He smiled at her and shut her door as he walked around the car to the driver's side. He started the car and headed in the direction of home. They were quiet as they drove. Ophelia looked out the window at the passing line of tall trees. Kai let his mind wander to the angel that had saved his life.

He was shocked that it was an angel. First off, he was curious how Ophelia had even let it near him. But he had to be grateful. He was here because of her. He was alive because of her.

He only remembered small things about the girl, her long, thing lavender hair, fair skin and stunning baby blue eyes. His heart felt full when he envisioned her; his eyes opened when he realized he never got to know her name. He sighed and looked over and Ophelia who was staring out the window.

"Did you get her name?" Kai asked.

"What?" Ophelia looked over in concern.

"Whose name?

"The girl.. I mean, the angel." Kai looked her in the eye as they pulled into their driveway.

He could see her tense up immediately.

"What the hell does it matter." She spit out. He could see the fire in her eyes.

"I would just like to know who saved my life Ophelia."

Ophelia threw her door open and tried to get out by herself. Kai sighed and quickly got out of his car and ran around to try and grab her but she pushed his hands away.

"Ophelia you can't walk, just let me help."

Ophelia urged herself out of the car and limped into the house slowly, every step sent a shooting pain up her body but she managed to make it to the doorstep. She could here Kai sigh with frustration following behind her. She went to unlock the front door so she could just get inside and escape Kai's questions but she realized she had nothing on but a hospital gown and that Kai was carrying all of her bags. She stepped to the side to let him pass, praying that he would just let it go and let things go back to normal. And let the memories of the Angel slip away.

Kai unlocked the door and stepped out of the way for her to walk in first. Always the gentleman.

Ophelia tried to limp to her room but his voice stopped her.

"I need to know her name Ophelia." He said. She turned around grimacing.

"It was a freaking Angel, Kai. She saved your life. She vanished. Get over it. You're alive, that's all that matters." She could feel herself getting more infuriated. Why couldn't he just let it go?

"I need to know Ophelia." His voice started to raise.

"Stop! Let it go Kai." Ophelia yelled and then quickly went into her room and slammed the door behind her.
