I screamed. Again and again. I heard movement from the other bunks. The guys had woken up and were doing to their best to get fast to me.
The pain in my head got worse and I screamed again. As I put my hands on my head, my bunk curtain was ripped off and I opened my eyes to meet Balz's.
-Devin, what's wrong? He asked me worried.
I couldn't answer. The pain was really bad. I closed my eyes and I felt someone climbing in the bunk and lying down with me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I put my head on his chest.
Ricky.
-Bring his medicine and some Advil! He yelled at the others.
I heard Ryan screaming to Vinny to help him and then a lot of footsteps. Ricky helped me take the meds and a sip of water. My head was still on his chest and I let some tears fall.
I know that I should be sorry that I caused you so much pain, but I'm not! You deserve this pain, Devin, and you know it!
-You okay? Asked Chris and I opened my eyes to see the guys looking at me really worried.
I nodded.
-What happened? Asked Vinny.
I opened my mouth to speak, but Ricky cut me off.
-Liz is hurting, Devin! He explained, but everyone looked still confused.
Ricky sighed.
-She is giving Devin an awful headache and she is trying to bring back bad memories! He explained.
-How did you know that? Asked Ryan and I screamed again from the pain.
Feel the pain, Devin! The pain that you caused! Do you understand now how do the other people feel, when you hurt them?
I hid my face in Ricky's chest and let some tears fall. I heard Ryan and Vinny sigh and Chris yawned. I instantly felt bad.
You are hurting them, don't you understand that? Are you blind, Devin? How can you not see the feelings of your best friends? You are so selfish!
-You can go to bed, guys! It's okay! I mumbled, covering my ears and praying for Liz to stop.
I pushed Ricky away and curled in a small ball. I tried hard not to believe her, but if I connected the pieces I could understand that she was right. I was hurting the guys, my best friends-my band mates and I didn't understand.
-You sure, Devin? Asked Chris unsure.
I nodded.
After a while thinking about it, the guys went back to their bunks. Well, everyone expect Ricky. He stayed in my bunk lying next to me. He looked at me straight at my eyes.
-Devin, please don't believe anything that she is saying! Everything is a lie! He told me, but I ignore, what he had said.
-How did you know that she is trying to bring the bad memories back? I asked him, taking him off guard.
-I did a small research about Schizophrenia the other day! He mumbled uncomfortable.
My eyes went wide.
-What? Why? I asked.
Ricky sighed.
-I wanted to learn more about your condition, so I could help you with the pain that she is causing you! I care about you, Ghostie, and I don't want to loose you! These three days that you left, were hell for me! I need my best friend here, not in a hospital dying from pain! Ricky answered me and finished his mini monologue in the edge of crying.
I hugged him and rested my head on the crock of his neck.
-Thank you! I whispered.
-For what? Asked Ricky confused.
-For everything! I answered closing my eyes.
You are pathetic and selfish, Devin! After so long, you understood now how do your best friends feel! I'm really, really disappointed of you, Devin! I'm sure Edward is disappointed, too! Wait! Edward is dead! And you are the reason! YOU KILLED HIM!
