Chapter Sixteen: The Idiot Group of Idiots

I walked into school a little nervous today. I just wanted to get my school work done, go to practice, then go home. For the past 2 days I have been huddled up in my room, not going anywhere. I was afraid to walk out because that has never happened before.

I still haven't figured out who had saved me from that terrible night. I have never been this frightened before and I'm just so confused. Anna was by my side, our arms locked together.

"Are you going to be alright today?" She asked as we approached my locker.

"I'll be fine." I said smiling. I looked at her and I knew she could see right through me.

"If there is ANYTHING at all, please tell me. I will help you." She said rubbing my back. I shrugged and said "I will be fine. Go before your late for class." She nodded and ran from my locker to her first period class.

Just get through the day Zoe, I thought to myself. I grabbed my math binder out and closed my locker door. I turned around to find my math class and before they closed the door, I hurried in.

Before I could sit down, I heard whispers all around me. I felt my heart hammering against my chest.

I couldn't take it anymore, it got very annoying so I only had one thing to do...

"Would you guys shut up!?!" I yelled, turning around to face the idiot group of idiots. I heard one of them murmur 'geez' as I turned back around to face the teacher.

"Okay class today, we will not be continuing with this chapter because we have an assembly in about two minutes. Leave all your belongings here!" Mrs. whatever her face was said.

Great, my favorite. It was probably just the cheerleaders letting half of their asses out to show 'school spirit' for the Varsity game tonight.

I set my pencil on my desk and waited for the announcement.

"All Highschool students, please report to the Gymnasium, again all highschool students, please report to the Gymnasium." I heard all the speakers say. I stood up from my desk, walking out to try and find either Anna or Katelyn. Luckily I found Katelyn among all the students and I hurried over to her.

"Hey." She said smiling.

"Hi." I said sighing. When we found the double doors to the Gym, we quickly tried to
find a seat for the both of us. We found some in the middle of the bleachers, so we hurried our butts in there.

"Where's Anna?" Katelyn asked.

"I have no idea." I said searching the room. I looked over at the hallway and saw Lucas standing there.

"Strict orders from Luc." He said smiling. I thought from the other night.

I'm gonna lay it on him. "I'll be right back." I whispered to Katelyn as the lights dimmed out. I stepped down from the bleachers and stomped over to Luc. I grabbed his arm and dragged him to the part of the hallway where no one was at.

"Do you know anything about what happened to me the other night?" I demanded.

"What are you talking about?" He asked looking at me.

"When I got harassed!" I whispered/yelled.

"Of course not! How would I know anything about that?" He asked.

"Well the dude said 'Strict orders from Luc'." I said imitating his voice.

He looked at me and then shook his head. I saw his jaw clench like it always does when he was mad.

Damn that was so hot...

I shook that thought out of my head as he said "I fucking knew it. I didn't know he would take it out on me like that."
