The news showed people being dragged to ambulances, crying victims and I couldn't believe any of this. This was where Natasha was at the signing in Vienna today! I hope she's okay.

The recording of an interview with Tony Stark played over the footage. "Today was an atrocity," Tony said, choking back emotion, "and the Avengers stand ready to assist in any way that we are asked." Then the news played CCTV footage of the person who was seen setting the bomb. Cap looked closely.... It couldn't be! But it was.

Bucky Barnes.

"Is... Is that Bucky?!" I said and gasped.

"We need to get down there now." Steve said and I agreed. "You call Nat, see if she's okay. I'll get us a ride."

We were a few minutes out when Steve called Nat and put her on speaker. "Are you okay?" We both asked simultaneously. "I got lucky. So you already know?" She asked.

"Yeah." Steve answered. "You can't come. This is how it works now. I know how much Barnes means to you. So stay out of this one, you'll only make things worse."

Steve looked over at me. "Are you saying you'd arrest me?" He asked. We heard her sigh before answering. "Someone will."

Steve and I hopped out of the car and put on disguises. There was a long pause

"Steve..." Natasha started, a note of concern creeping into her voice. But Steve hung up and looked out across the plaza in front of the international complex. He was already in Vienna. From the patio of the café across the street he couldn't see everything, but he could eyeball the blast radius, which allowed him to estimate the yield of the bomb. There were only a few classes of conventional explosives that could pack the punch necessary to do that level of damage.
