"We need fire and rescue to the north side of the building!" Cap shouted through the comm and I immediately ran over to Wanda and she had tears brimming in her eyes.

I hugged her and tried to comfort her but she was crying onto my shoulder. But this is also my fault, I should have split up Crossbones and Steve instead of eavesdropping on their conversation. This is on me too

Back at the Avengers tower Wanda was alone in her room. I was pacing around our living room watching the news.

"Eleven Wakandans were killed in the Nigerian Hotel explosion that left many more critically injured-" the tv was shut off. I turned around to see Steve with Wanda.

Wanda was extremely upset and I was to. "Listen, you both are upset and I need to-" I cut Steve.

"It's our fault." I mumbled. "We were all distracted." I said. Steve put a hand on my back. "I should have seen the explosives before anyone else had to deal with it. And people died because of that. It's on me." He said and looked down to the ground.

He paused then looked up at Wanda and I. "In this job, we try to save as many people as we can. Sometimes that doesn't mean all of them. If you don't find a way to life with that....Then next time, maybe nobody gets saved."

"My apologies Wanda." Vision entered the room through the wall and said. "Mr. Stark has arrived and he brought a guest." He explained.

"Do you know who?" Steve asked.

"The US Secretary of State." Vision replied. I looked over at Steve because whenever the government gets involved, that usually means trouble. Plus most of them are self-centered jerks, who think we should be locked away, so I don't really trust them

"As you know, many people see you as heroes, others would prefer the word vigilantes." He said addressing it all of us.

"What word would you use?" Steve asked, I lightly punched his arm under the table. "How about headache?" Thunderbolt Ross sassed back.
