Summer's POV
I decided to wear a comfy light blue sweatshirt, adidas leggings, and brown Uggs. For accessories I chose gold hoop earrings, gold bracelets, and I put my hair up in a high bun.
My phone made a noise and Devins name popped up on the phone.
Hey are you coming to brunch today?
I texted back yes and continued getting ready. Right now I'm trying to figure out what purse to wear.
I kept looking and saw a cute mini book bag sort of. It was brown with gold touches and went perfect with my outfit. "Perfect." I said quietly while looking in the body mirror.
I checked the time and saw I had about 20minutes before brunch, so I called Sage.
"Hey Summer."
"Hey wasuh."
"Nothing actually, I'm super bored... So how's it going with Justin?" She said with enthusiasm.
"The concert was awesome and the date went fun. We went out to eat before the concert, then he dropped me off back here. Yesterday at the pool party he didn't show up so I don't know." I told her.
"Well that's cool, what about Devin."
"Sage I don't like Devin, he's cute but I don't like him. He's my dad's co-worker's son. We're practically cousins." I explained.
"Not necessarily. Well I like Devin, he's less of a player."
I rolled my eyes, "Yeah Yeah. Maybe I wanna give Justin a chance. See you tomorrow though, I have brunch with my family."
"I hate those. See you at school."
"Ok, bye." I said before hanging up and grabbing my keys to drive to lunch.
---------Brunch
I walked into brunch and sat in the normal circle. My dad gets out to let me in without saying a word to me... Probably because of this morning. Devin looks at me and smiles once I sit down.
"Hey you look pretty." He whispers in my ear.
I nod. "Thanks."
"Stop hitting on my sister, she's into someone else anyways." I sighed when Kaleb said that loudly across the table.
"So what are we ordering." I said over the silence.
Everyone ordered with the iPad at the table and went back to chatting.
"Who are going out with?" Devin asked.
"Nobody, I just went to a Rihanna concert with Justin." I said casually.
"Oh, he seems cool." Devin said in a different tone.
I nodded and smiled thinking about him. "More like amazing... I'm sorry, let's talk about you."
"It's fine."
Great now it's awkward. Everyone continued to chat and Kaleb, Devin, and I joked around. We ate and then went home.
------Home
Once I got home I decided to chill at our pool. I requested a massage and facial.
I changed into my swimsuit and went out to the pool.
"Hi, you're summer right?" This boy who looked my age and some what taller thank me asked.
"Yea, who are you?"
He chuckled. "I'm Carlos, the new pool and spa guy."
I'm trying to stop staring at his perfectly toned, tanned, and beautiful body.
"I just cleaned the pool and it doesn't smell like chlorine, so yeah." He said while scratching his head.
I think I started drooling a bit.
"Great. Thanks." I said in awe.
I'll have to swim more often.
"Well my job should be a lot more fun with you around here." Carlos said while smiling.
I nodded. "Mine too. Like I don't have a job but I live her and it gets really boring."
He laughed. "Catch you later, I'm about to head home, and I lied I'm not the pool boy... I'm just doing this today because your brother and I lost a bet."
I immediately stopped blushing. "So your friends with my brother." I complained.
"Sorry."
I groaned. "Ughhhhhhh, I'm going to my room, your kinda cute in stuff but why must you be friends with my brother."
"So you think I'm cute?" He asked.
"No! I never said that. I said kinda."
Carlos smiled and picked me up before throwing me into the pool.
