Summer's POV

"Did you have fun." Caitlyn asked as I was walking through the door.

I nodded and walked up to my room after dropping my keys in the bowl.

I smiled thinking to myself about how fun the concert was. My outfit got us a seat backstage and it was awesome. I almost passed out meeting her.

"Is dad home?" I asked Kaleb.

"Yeah actually, he fell asleep in his office." I rolled my eyes.

"Of course, well goodnight." I said before closing Kaleb's door and continuing to my room.

"Goodnight Chanel."

•••••••Sunday Brunch

"Sweetie wake up for brunch with the family." My dad said.

"Wow, hey dad. It's funny I haven't seen you since last Sunday for 2 hours, if your never going to be home then when I got here you shouldn't have spent the day with me so I could get used to you being around when your not."

I walked loudly to my bathroom which woke Chanel up who started barking.

I closed the door and heard my dad sigh. He knew he was in the wrong anyway because everything I said was true. He closed my door and I felt the urge to call my mom.

"Hello." She said groggily.

I look at the time remembering the difference, but for her it was only 6am and she goes to work in an hour. Normally she's awake at 5am.

"Did I wake you up mom?"

"No baby your fine, so tell me about this fight." She said interested.

"Lemme guess dad has time to tell you but not time to hang with me... Yeah the fight was fine." I said with an attitude.

"Summer, he's just busy. Who won?" She asked.

"Me of course, she's a bully that everyone wanted to fight but never had the courage to." I explained.

My mom laughed but tried to be serious. "Well then good job, but stay out of, that goes on your record you know."

I nodded but remembered she couldn't see me. "Yes mom. I'm about to go to brunch but I wanted to call you."

"Awe thanks, I love you."

"Love you too."

We hung up on the phone and I continued getting ready for this awkward family brunch.
