Aside from my 'social problems' , I had to deal with maths problems and, honestly this was the worst of all. I can't text Joe asking him to copy his homework because he hates me right now. I can't ask for Jordan's help either because he hates me too..I think. Him giving me a ride home doesn't mean that we're friends, right?
To be honest, I respected him a little more than usual when he gave me that ride home. He could have yelled at me for saying yes and made me walk home. But he didn't and I don't know where we stand now; as friends or, still, mutual enemies.
I tried calling Joe but he wouldn't answer my calls. He's been completely ignoring me. I even went to his house but his mom answered the door and told me that he was 'sleeping'. Yeah right.
I've been overthinking and I skipped two days of school. My attendance used to be perfect, but I fucked that up too. I couldn't face everyone at school, especially Joe. I pretended to be sick so that my mom would let me stay in.
"Aubrey, there's someone that wants to see you." My mom opens up my bedroom door.
"Who is it?" I frown in confusion. Could it be Joe?
"A friend of yours."
I run down the stairs hurriedly, eager to see who came to see me. I'm still hoping that it is Joe until I open the door and all these hopes are crushed. Instead of Joe, Jordan's muscular tall frame comes to view and I couldn't be more confused. What is he doing here?
"What are–"
"We have a date tonight..well, a double date." He says directly.
"Excuse me?" I raise my brows at him quizzically.
"Well, Aaron and Kimberly wanted to know more about you and what I see in you so they told me to bring you tonight on a double date to get to know you and be friends so what you wanna do is not–"
"Woah hold up. Who are these people? And I'm not a friendly person!" I cut off his ramble and start to panic.
"These are my friends and you better be nice because if you're not they're gonna make fun of me and say that I like a bitch." He points an intimidating forefinger at me but it doesn't phase me.
"Listen, I don't know if you don't get it but I don't do outdoor activities. You know, shit that requires me getting out of my house, or making small talk about the fake love affair we have with your bitchass friends." I squint my eyes out of anger, a habit I have developed lately.
"Do I need to remind you that you were the one who got us into this mess? If you didn't make me tell that stupid lie then this wouldn't have been the situation right now so you better suck it up and deal with it!" He yells a bit and goosebumps form on my skin. I was not expecting him to get that pissed.
Chill damn.
"Well if you weren't an ass to me the entire time you knew I existed then this wouldn't be happening right now!" I yell back and I am surprised his eyes widen a little, apparently taken aback by my response.
Take that you piece of raw pig meat.
"Honey, is everything okay?" My mom comes to view in the living room where we were standing.
"Yeah, mom everything is fine." I assure her.
"Don't you want to introduce me, Aubrey? How rude of you?" Jay smiles sweetly at me, clearly up to something terrible.
"Umm, mom..this is Jordan."
"Jay." He corrects me and I roll my eyes instantly. "I suppose this little munchkin did not tell you much about me," he extends his arm to shake my mom's hand.
