You woke up with a gasp and sweat coating your forehead. Something sounded like a banging downstairs startled you, and you quickly grabbed your bat and jogged down to where the sound came from. You reached the bottom of the stairs and waited for the sound again.

Bang...Bang...
(a/n: Sorry for my poor sound effects ;-;)

The backdoor. You went to the kitchen with light feet and pressed your back beside the window. You saw a figure on the backdoor and felt your heart race.

Could it be Glenn? You felt hope arise your chest, but soon faded when the figure backed away the door, revealing a decaying man with bloody mouth and dead eyes.

A sigh left your mouth out of disappointment. You opened the window slightly, enough for a knife to fit. You grabbed a kitchen knife and tapped on the glass. The dead heard this and started growling. As soon as it reached the window, you stuck the knife through its head, leaving it limp in the ground.

You started feeling a lump on your throat, and tears brimmed your eyes. Its been a week since the dead reached your town. And also a week of you waiting for your cousin to manage to get back home. Where are you Glenn? I hope you're still alive... You're the only one I have left. You felt hot tears start falling from your e/c eyes for the very first time, after the outbreak. The false hope caused by the dead you just killed, made you realize everything that's happened. It was like the final blow for you to process everything.

The dead are coming back. Spreading virus to the living. My only family left... Missing. I'm alone again. Just like how my parents died and left me. I can't lose Glenn too. No... I just can't.

You held your sobs back and shake your head. You have to find him. He's still out there. You know that behind his skinny build, he has a chance to survive and get through this. You need to find him.

You wiped your cheeks and opened the counter cabinets revealing the few canned foods and some crackers left. You grabbed all these placing them on a small bag and also grabbing bottles, filling it with water. You ran upstairs to your room and packed necessary stuff like a sleeping bag, first aid-kit, a few clothes, knives and of course your bat.

It's about time, I stop waiting and search for Glenn.
