You finally accepted defeat. You were running out of energy and was finding it hard to breath under the two walker's weight. You felt yourself lose all strength and your arms flopped to your sides.
You waited for the pain. All you could hear was ringing in your ears. But it never came. You opened your eyes and saw the sky, it took you a moment to realize that the walker was off you and Glenn bashing it's head two feet beside your own head. You stood up stunned at what almost happened. You were dizzy and you couldn't hear anything but the buzzing in your ears.
You could see Glenn screaming at you but never heard his voice. Then someone grabbed you from behind and pushed you through the open door of a truck.
Daryl. He's safe.
He shut your side of the door and entered the driver's side. He said something to Glenn and you saw Glenn run to the back of the truck. Your vision was slowly turning black for some reason and you seem to be going deaf. The fence opened and closed once the trucks are out. Then everything went black.

"Glenn... Ye gotta eat somethin'."
Daryl? You thought as you hear shuffling."She'll be fine. Daddy says so... C'mon." And...and that's Maggie.
You felt a squeeze in your hand and then the creak of the bed you were laying on. I'm alive for Christ sake. What happened though? Why am I in bed?
You suddenly heard the bed creak once again. You focused intently on your hearing. A hand ran up your forehead through your hair.
"Tsk... Gonna kick yer ass, when ye wake up." Said Daryl. You felt his hand pull away.
"Should I sleep till death then?" You muttered and slowly opened one eye.
You were greeted by Daryl's shock face, but was instantly replaced by a smirk.
"I was jus' kidding. But I ain't savin yer' ass from Glenn again, sunshine."
You scowled and playfully acted to be asleep and snoring. But smiled when you heard him chuckle. It made your heart skip at the sound of his amusement.
"How ya feelin'?"
Sitting up you rest your head on the wall behind you and looked at him. "I feel fine but... Why did I black out?"
Daryl shrugged and stared back at you. " You were wheezin' fer air at the truck then you just stopped and blacked out. Hershel guessed you just ran out of oxygen for a few seconds and needed rest."
You suddenly remembered the tight feeling in your chest under the walkers."How'd the walkers got to you in the first place?"
"Uh... I was gonna shoot... You–No! I mean the walker that was grabbing you! Not you! ugh" You were flustered and turning gibberish at the idea. The idea that you almost died to "save" him. Which he didn't seem to need anyway.
What's worse was the furious look on Daryl's face, now. And the fact that Glenn walked in to the cell with the same angry expression. Well, shit.
Daryl glared at you but turned to look at Glenn. He shook his head and left the cell.
"Are you stupid or just crazy?!" Glenn started. You shut your eyes and jump. You didn't need this right now...
"You almost died! You almost died y/n... And I just found out you were alive!" The look of anger, fear and worry on Glenn's face made you look down.
You saw from your peripheral vision that Glenn sat down on the floor and was holding his head in frustration.
"I'm sorry..." You started in a hushed tone.
"For everything... I don't know what's wrong with me. Ever since I joined you guys, I've been nothing but hassle to the group. Maybe... Maybe I'm better off alone back out there." I continued to blabber.
It's true. You've been messing up ever since you came here. It's like you're bringing them more stuff to worry about, and you hate to admit that you're the one to worry about. You survived alone out there, why can't you keep yourself together now?
"No... You are not going back out there. I won't ever let that happen again. But you need to tell me what's happening. Why are you so distracted?" He asked looking at you in confusion.
"I don't know, okay? I guess I'm just not used with being with other people anymore. I want to help and protect the people who saved you, but it's almost like I'm doing the opposite!" You threw your hands up in frustration and growled at your own stupidity.
"You don't need to do that! You just need to learn to help and trust us. Those people? They're not weak. There will be times that they will need your help, but they can protect their selves most of the time, okay? Have trust in them. Now, you do it too. Let them help you, but protect yourself most of the time.Your strong, Y/N. I would know. You just need to learn to trust us of what we can do." Glenn's lecture was the only sound that can be heard in the silence of the prison cells.
"...yeah." I answered but it came out muffled when Glenn hugged me suddenly.
