"Hey! Where's Daryl?" was the first thing I asked when I got down from my cell.

Rick raised his brow teasingly then answered anyway. "He went outside."

"Thanks. Mornin'!" I said and jumped to give Glenn a hug and a kiss on the cheek. People chuckled at my actions. I continued to go outside looking for Daryl.

You spotted him up on one of the watch towers, so you started to jog towards it. Sneaking in you see him leaning on the railings. You stood up on your tippy toes and wrapped your arms around his shoulders.

"Mornin' sunshine!" You said with a chuckle, mimicking his nickname for you.

He raised an eyebrow and said, "Forgiving you doesn't mean you can get all touchy with me sunshine." with a smirk.

"Really?? Why not?" I asked.

"Nobody gets too close with me... Not even you." He said looking back to the fences.

"Awe... But I'm different." I removed my arms and leaned my back on the railings.

"What?"

" 'Cause you care for me, and I care for you... At least, I think thats what Carl meant." I said with a smile and met his beautiful blue eyes.

Daryl went closer towards me, wiping my smile off as the atmosphere became serious.

"You don't even fully know me sunshine... You can't care for me."

"Does it matter who anybody is before all this? I know you now... And I care for you now."

I searched his eyes for any emotions but I ended up getting lost. I could feel his hot breath fanning my cheeks and his fingers catching the stray hairs that fell on my face, tucking them behind my ear.

My chest felt light but I couldn't help but feel how fast my heart was slamming on it to jump out.
That's so cheesy Y/N... But its also too true to deny.

"Hey lovebirds! You gonna eat or what?" I jump at Rick's voice while Daryl gave him a death glare.

"I-- uh yeah! We-- we're coming!" I said blushing profusely as Daryl hadn't moved an inch from our previous position. His arms trapping me between him and the railings.

"Yeah? We'll goodluck getting Daryl off ya' " Rick said his voice sounding further and further.

"We should-- you know, get inside." I said not meeting his eyes.

He smirked at my embarrassment and teased. "What? Thought you wanted to be close?"

"Ugh stop, aren't you even slightly embarrassed?" I said pushing his chest off but he won't budge at all.

"Hey yer the one who got all touchy and close, was just returnin' the favor." he said and pushed his self away from me and the railings.

I stared at him still shaken while he walked towards stairs.

"You comin'?"

"What?... Oh yeah! Wait up" I said hurrying after him.
