~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~It turns out my parents weren't the only ones accompanying Mr and Mrs. Eaton on their business trip. Chloe was going too which I found completely unfair. I've always wanted to go to New York and it didn't seem fair or wise to leave me at home, alone, with Four.
Thursday had come really quick that the idea of them leaving in a half hour was unreal. It had almost slipped my mind with everything going on at school. Four on the other hand couldn't wait until they left, saying he had plans while they were gone, whatever that meant.
Although I really didn't want my parents to leave, I quickly began to see the upside of having a parent-less house. No one was in charge of me, so I basically could do whatever I wanted to. I could deal with Four for the most part and so by the time they were loading their things into the car, I was pretty excited for the next 5 days.
"Emergency phone numbers are on the fridge. Behave yourself and don't do anything stupid while we're gone." My mom listed, putting her coat and shoes on.
"You should know better that I'm not like that. I'll be fine mom". I said walking out the front door with her.
"I know I just feel like I'm abandoning you right now with everything going on" she says looking at me.
"I get it but you don't need to worry about it, you'll be back before I know it" I say hoping I've reassured her.
She pulls me in for a tight hug as Mr. Eaton closes the trunk door. She pulls back and gives me a kiss on the cheek.
"Be safe sweetie" she says before getting into the car.
I give my dad a hug before he also gets in the car beside mom. I say goodbye to Chloe as well as a wave towards Mr and Mrs. Eaton as Four comes to stand beside me. They drive out of the driveway and down the road towards the airport.
"That's cute. You should try it on." Marlene said, looking at me from the corner of her eye as I looked at a black dress. It ended at the knees and was slim fitting but yet it was casual at the same time.
"I don't know, I feel like it might just sit in my closet. I'm not one to really wear dresses." I mumble.
I turn away from the rack and keep moving down but not before I see Marlene grab the dress and add it to the few clothes she's going to try on, knowing she'll throw it in my change room later on.
It was Saturday and the girls and I were at the mall. It was nice to get out and Four said he had plans today and not to be back until around 8 or 9 which I didn't mind. It doesn't get dark until around 9:15 anyways so I planned to leave around 8:30. The girls were staying over tonight as well since the house was empty without all the adults and Chloe.
"Okay let's go to the change rooms, my arms are getting tired of carrying all these clothes" Christina exclaims leaning over and placing a hand on her lower back as she takes a few breaths.
I chuckle and follow Shauna and Lynn to the change rooms. Marlene and Christina had practically run leaving the three of us.
"Tris try this on for me." As if on cue Marlene tossed the black fitted dress over and into my change room.
Considering I didn't have nearly as many clothes as the others I signed and picked up the dress.
I wasn't usually one who enjoyed shopping. Not as much as my girls but if I did happen to go it was only because I needed something in particular. Today was one of those particular days however I had picked up what I needed an hour ago. A few new bras and some new panties. I pull my shirt over my head before slipping the dress over my head. I take my leggings off and pull the rest of the dress down.
