I walked into my first period class and took a seat at the back. Luckily not to many kids were in class yet and I had managed to avoid my friends in the hall. But I knew I couldn't hide from them forever, I would have to face them sooner or later with all there questions. I had planned it all out on my way to class.

I had some family emergency in London, England. I was flown there for the week and I attended my aunts funeral.

I know it's not nice to lie but part of it was true I did have an aunt who passed away in London, but it happened at the beginning of the summer and it had been a couple months now. If people found out what really happened it would ruin me. The way everyone would look at me and the pity that would show through the emotions on there face would just make me feel broken, which I am not.

The week that I was "in London" I was seeing a counciler and honestly it was helping me a bit. What I wanted to overcome most of all was my fear. But I knew that was impossible, all guys are the same. They only want one thing...

~*~*~*~*~

Two weeks later...

I walked to my locker after just getting to school, I was late because I had over slept and honestly I didn't care, I grabbed my books that I needed for the morning and walked to my first period class. By the time I reached the door of the classroom I was 15 minutes late. I opened the door and made my way to my desk.

"Ms. Prior you are 15 minutes late!!'' she exclaimed.

''I know but you see...'' I was cut off by her raising her right hand, silencing me.

''I don't care for your excuse! Detention today afterschool'' she said.

As I walked to my desk I rolled my eyes at how unreasonable the teacher was being. Unfortunatly I should of waited till my back was completely facing her because her mouth dropped.

''One week of detention, would you like to say anything else'' she yelled across the room.

''What did...''I started.

''One month, Ms Prior'' she screamed.

I simply turned around and continued to my desk. I couldn't lie I had changed over the two weeks. I've started contradicting myself and I can't seem to make my own decisions which results in me wasting time over the stupidest things. I just stopped caring about everything. Sometime in those two weeks people started becoming scared of me. I don't even know why. I'm not even a scary person, I genuinely care about people. A lot had happened and Lauren and I somehow drifted apart, to the point where even when we passed eachother in the hallway we didn't even smile or wave. On the bright side Christina and I had become really close and I was happy to say we were becoming the best of friends.

Lunch came pretty quick and Christina, Marlene and I were sitting at our usual lunch table at the back of the school. It was outside, shaded by a tree to keep us a cool from the blazing sun. I could see everyone outside from where I sat which is the way I liked it.

"I can't believe you got detention for a whole month for being 15 minutes late to class" Christina exclaimed.

"I know right, but it's not that bad, I just have to sit in the detention room for an hour an a half " I said.

Marlene and Christina both exchanged a look and then they looked at me with half amused and half sad expressions.

"What?" I asked.

"I don't know how detention was back at your old school but here you actually have to do work for that whole hour an a half Tris" Marlene said.

My mouth dropped if I knew this was what I'd be doing for the next month I definitely would of kept my mouth shut.

"So I have to actually do work?" I said with disbelief.

They both nodded there heads and looked over there shoulders and then looked back.

"And you get to be accompanied by the one and only Four." Christina exclaimed.

"And he just happens to be looking at you right this minute. " Marlene says with a smirk.

Sometime in those two weeks Lauren and Four had broken up. From what I heard it was pretty ugly and now the two don't even talk anymore. Like Lauren had told me Four went back to being the player he always was and when I say player I mean like an actual player. He hits on girls, sleeps with them and then leaves them the next day, but they just keep coming back.

I jerked my head to the left of Christina's and looked ahead and sure enough he was staring at me.

"Why is he staring at me?" I asked.

I picked up my apple juice and started to take a sip.

"Uhm hello? Who do you think your going to be spending that whole month with in detention?" Marlene said.

I turned my head and spat my juice out behind me.

"Your joking right?" I exclaimed coughing a bit. A few eyes turned towards me at my slightly raised voice.

I smiled sheepishly and when none of them looked away I glared at them. They turned away and continued eating there lunches at there table. I scanned the crowd one more time to make sure no one was still looking and when my eyes landed on Four, he was indeed staring at me with an amused smirk on his face. I simply rolled my eyes and continued talking for the rest of the time being.

Every once in a while I glanced at Four and every time I caught him staring at me. What's his problem? The lunch bell rang signalling everyone to go to their next class.

The rest of the day went by in a blur and I found myself at my locker putting my books away. I grabbed my bag, phone and keys and slammed my locker shut only to find Four leaning against the one beside mine.

"What the hell Four!" I screamed.

"What is little Trissy scared?" he said in a fake girl voice.

"Shut up! Why are you here?" I asked annoyed.

"Did you forget, we have detention" he said matter of factly.

I mentally screamed in my head and gritted my teeth.

"Right this way, babe" he said turning and walking away motioning his hand so that I follow.

"Don't call me that." I gritted.

He turned his head slightly and smirked, then looked back as he continued to walk.
